Alex Jones BBC Sunday Politics Meltdown

Alex Jones seems to be becoming a figure of fun in the mainstream media, and it really looks like he's doing it deliberately to get more exposure.

Looking at some the comments though, it does not seem to affect his base believers.

Skip to 4:30 if you want to get to the fireworks, although he rants all the way though, and occasionally just shouts "infowars.com"

Yep, it's all an act and Jones is laughing all the way to the bank while his flock toss coins at his feet.

Mr Neil later said on Twitter: 'The moment Alex Jones knew he was no longer on air he stopped.'
The shouting at the end of the show - which was criticised as 'all an act' by Mr Neil - was immediately labelled 'spectacular' by the Mail's James Chapman and 'TV gold' by the political blog Guido Fawkes.

Shouldn't be long before Jones launches another "money bomb".

And the moment Alex Jones knew he was no longer on air he stopped. All an act. #bbcsp.

Of course, the more popular AJ becomes, the more people will think he's just part of the plot. Truther looking for credibility are miffed by the mocker he brings upon them by association.

Its not what he said, it's how Alex Jones always is on a loud rant, like a lunatic - he makes the truth movement out to be insane lunatic extremist, conspiracy theorists and discredit truth by the way he acts and rants. As the mocking BBC presenter stated and I agree it seems Alex Jones is most likely working for the CIA/Government.

This is sooooo unfair as I can't get videos here:(

Was he at least confronted on his nonsense by Andrew Neil and Ahronnovich(?)?

Basically they tried to discuss it with him, raising a few inconsistencies (why is he on the BBC, if the BBC is trying to cover this up?), and he just started shouting.

Is there any file format you could view?

I watched this at work earlier. Problem is, his gallops and unrelated confrontational statements are lapped up as him 'sticking it to the man'.

The media will use anything that gets a reaction of any kind sadly.

Here's a 9.5MB mp4 that might work for you.

Thanks Mick, it will be worth a drive over the other side of camp to view it tomorrow.

I am a bit concerned that the BBC clearly did not research who Alex Jones is before they let him on, OR they knew he would make an arse of himself and thought it would be good entertainment.

Either way, Jones in the winner here.

Just tried to list all the things he referenced in 5 minutes, as it's quite fascinating the complex world view he's developed.

  • Flouride in water caused 7x increase in bone cancer
  • BBC got documents that Bilderberg helped found the Euro
  • The Euro was a Nazi German plan to take over countries economically
  • Lockheed scandals in the '70s caused SS Officer, founder of Bilderberg, to step down
  • Jones has forced Bilderberg from cover to admit they are puppeteers above the major parties.
  • infowars.com!
  • NY times denied bilderberg even existed 5 years ago
  • Jones and his wife got death threats because of his expose
  • They listen to everybody's phone lines and call up and harass people who expose them
  • The spying is like Nazi Germany
  • A UK minister said that too.
  • Tyranny!
  • infowars.com!
  • They don't kill Alex because then he's be a martyr
  • Megabanks get $85 Billion a month of taxpayer money, mostly going to Europe and England
  • People have been acclimated to spying now
  • We are in a Police State
  • BBC is part of the conspiracy, and is trying to "manage" Alex.
  • Alex has a large audience
  • Cancer virus in vaccines for eugenics is "on record"
  • Tuskegee syphilis experiments
  • Porton Down nerve gas experiments
  • (Shouting) Here to warn people, this isn't a game.
  • FEMA Camps
  • NDAA "disappearing" people
  • Arrest for public safety with life in prison
  • infowars.com!
  • Liberty is rising! Liberty is rising! Freedom will not stop! You will not stop freedom! You will not stop the republic. Humanity is awakening.
  • infowars.com!
  • No, you guys are crazy!

They know who he is. Its the Bilderberg meeting this weekend and I guess they need to show a balanced, or unbalanced, viewpoint.

Not surprising perhaps, but an extremely complex web of intrigue.

What would the general opinion be amongst rational people, that he really believes this stuff or that this is business for him?

Didn't he allow Jesse to do that?

No, what Jesse and Alex do is turn up somewhere with a camera crew they know they will not be allowed access and shout "What do you have to hide?"... and then locked out, its is all of their argument sewn up because then then have serious faces with their piece to camera outside with nonsense like "Obviously a cover-up here..." Easy, dumbed-down TV.

This only seems to further confirm my assertion that Alex Jones only flies off the handle when live and in studio.

If you watch interviews with him over skype or pre recorded interviews, he is somehow able to restrain himself.

A new Meme is born!

I like Andrew Neil, as he does not take himself too seriously, and even mocks his own dyed hair, but I think they made an error bringing AJ onto a serious politics show. He is incapable of rational debate, and didnt leave Andrew much room for manouvre other than to dismiss Jones as the crank that he is...

Ventura is worse than Jones in some ways, as he has more of a veneer of respectability, but his shows are almost entirely bullshit.

The show his did with Jones of "FEMA camps", as you said, they just went to a detention center for illegal aliens, and banged on the door until someone came out

See here at around 29:15
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoBWVWdvoCg

They are here, at a detention center. There's nothing unusual about it, and it's only got 490 beds:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._Don_Hutto_Residential_Center

Then there's another guy driving around private sections of the Port of Los Angeles, and claiming it's suspicious that police and security ask him what he's doing.

Ventura is an entertainer. His show is an obvious fabrication.

...he really believes this stuff or that this is business for him?

Both.

People usually get caught up in the theatrical production of their own reality shows once they get going, etc.

Flouride in water caused 7x increase in bone cancer
-No, studies have said that there is only a partial link to cancer: [QUOTEIn its review published in 1987, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization, labeled fluorides as "non-classifiable as to their carcinogenicity [ability to cause cancer] in humans." While they noted that the studies "have shown no consistent tendency for people living in areas with high concentrations of fluoride in the water to have higher cancer rates than those living in areas with low concentrations," they also noted that the evidence was inadequate to draw conclusions one way or the other.][/QUOTE] [1]
BBC got documents that Bilderberg helped found the Euro
-Exaggerated, the Euro dollar was created by certain Bilderberg members, but does not mean that the entire community helped create it. The people who created the euro were Fred Arditti, Neil Dowling, Wim Duisenberg, Robert Mundell, Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa and Robert Tollison, and only 2 of these people are members of the group (Tommaso and Wim) [2]
The Euro was a Nazi German plan to take over countries economically
-Eh, the orginal EU concept was created by Walter Hallstein, who was a member of the Nazi/Cartel coalition. He was a lawyer that had planned out how Nazi Germany would be ordered if they would have successfully invaded the rest of europe. [3]
Lockheed scandals in the '70s caused SS Officer, founder of Bilderberg, to step down
-?
Jones has forced Bilderberg from cover to admit they are puppeteers above the major parties.
-?
NY times denied bilderberg even existed 5 years ago
-Lots of websites have said this, but I cannot actually find the article in which they actually deny it, but many conspiracy sites say that they did.

I don't really feel like continuing this at the moment, but some help could be appreciated if people are interested.

Not surprising perhaps, but an extremely complex web of intrigue.

What would the general opinion be amongst rational people, that he really believes this stuff or that this is business for him?

Definitely the performance of a believer to my mind, but a performance nonetheless.

once upon a time i sort of respected ventura's opinion. atleast along the lines of penn&teller bullshit, good point, maybe a lack of rigor. but that was years before he had a show and he was a different man. i havent listened to a thing he has said in the last 4 years, for damn good reason..

He (and the other guy) pretty much say Alex just goes crazy so he gets publicity, and he only gets invited on shows for entertainment value.

No he is saying he does it to get invited on shows 'so he can get the message out'. Big difference.

The other side of the coin.

pmsl. I nearly chocked on my fluoridated water. Confronted Bilderberg? Ed Balls? Wow the NWO must be quaking in their boots now that someone with so much power has been exposed.

Off topic but myself and my 2 youngest daughters bumped into Ed Milliband with his wife and child at Kings Cross station. I wish I had the foresight to confront him about Ed and the upcoming takeover of the World by the Labour party.

No he is saying he does it to get invited on shows 'so he can get the message out'. Big difference.

Not really, that's just the end justification from his POV. The method is still the same - pretend to be angry and act ridiculous, so you get on the show, so you get publicity, and hence so you (get the message out | get more pageviews/money)

That does seem to be without basis. But what about the rest?

There's always a sprinkling of actual truth in the things he reels off, like the Tuskegee syphilis experiments. And of course Germany would have a plan for a single currency - they also planned to invade everyone. But then there's a lot of spin, and just plain nonsense, like the media denying Bilderberg existed. They have been doing stories on it for years.

But like he says... it is vastly under reported: this is the one AJ says Obama attended in 2007.

You have said in the past Mick... 'People are not really interested that's why it's not reported', but AJ's viewing statistics say that argument is Bunk.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/june2007/050607hidesbilderberg.htm

Number of mainstream U.S. news outlets that reported on Paris Hilton over the past week: 10,000+

Number of mainstream U.S. news outlets that reported on a meeting of nearly 200 of the world's most powerful people this past weekend; Less than a handful.

The Bilderberg Group meeting, an annual conference at which the consensus for future global policy is provably manifested, again passed by with barely a mention on behalf of America's corporate media.

The Dallas Morning News carried a single article about Texas Governor Perry's visit, a story that was subsequently picked up in brief blurbs by a couple of local Texas TV news affiliates and a few bylines on page 30 of a couple of papers in the lone star state. Apart from that, save a mention in an online Village Voice blog - nothing, absolutely nothing about a confab of the most powerful and influential people on the planet. In comparison, G8 is a mere talking shop and yet it is lavished with attention while Bilderberg is hidden in the shadows.
Nothing in the New York Times and nothing in the Washington Post or the Wall Street Journal, both of which were represented at the meeting. Nothing in Le Figaro of France or the Financial Times of London, who also were both represented by chief editors.
Media moguls who attend Bilderberg, such as Washington Post CEO and Chairman Donald E. Graham, swear an oath of secrecy and fulfil a promise each year to omit any coverage of Bilderberg from their news outlets.
Is it really any wonder that the traditional media model is dying and that more and more enlightened people in their droves are turning to alternative news sources in search of the truth?

People are always interested in conspiracy theories. So conspiracy theories about Bilderberg always have an audience.

If the BBC News started doing long segments about how the Bilderbergers were ruling the world, then it would get interest. But they don't, because it's not news, because the evidence is pure speculation.

I say it's not reported. Because it's not news to most people. To you it's news, but you are a conspiracy theorist.

This is a good piece.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...s-the-secretive-bilderberg-group-8626134.html

Skip to the end and even some delegates don't like the closed doors as it encouraged conspiracy theorists

Although those who attend Bilderberg Group gatherings are sworn to secrecy, the Independent on Sunday spoke to a number of delegates who had attended some of the gatherings over the last four years. One, a UK politician, said: “It really is not that exciting, in fact it’s a bit run of the mill.” He compared it to the annual World Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Another delegate said that most of the three days was taken up by “intense plenary sessions that focused on major global issues – but a lot of the most valued contact centred on informal lunch chats”.

Although the tradition of confidentiality was mostly defended, another diplomatic delegate said the younger generation of Bilderberg guests felt different about how useful the closed-door approach had become and were uncomfortable with the policy of total media exclusion. He said : “I sympathise with those who tell us the confidentiality policy only encourages the conspiracy theorists. It does.”

And probably never will. To admit to seeing through Jones after being a "follower" is akin to having "idiot" tattooed on your forehead. Those who see the light are more likely to keep schtum and avoid posting comments anywhere. (There were fans of Gary Glitter who refused to believe he was a paedophile, even after his guilty plea!)

More people watch soap operas than political programmes. More people watch sport than shows about geology. More people watch porn than classical music.

The message is clear......reporting on a sexually explicit soap set in a football tounament will get more hits! (Have Paris Hilton star.....not a member of the Bilderburg Group.)

Haha so glad i have found out who alex jones is. This is actually hilarious and quite possibly a genius move. He's got to be in on it surely nobody is that ridiculous?! Even in america
i hadn't heard of the Bildeburgs (? Sorry again awful spelling) until the most recent meeting. It does seem a little under reported when compared with other world summits? Probably only heard about this because it was in Watford

Seems a bit of a personal POV really. Do you have any actual evidence to back up your expressed view? AJ's viewing stats suggest there is a huge demand for news of these 'closed' events.

Perhaps there should be room for soaps and politics and if the MSM started reporting events that people were interested in then they would not have to rely on RT, Al Jazeera and AJ to remain informed of matters outside of what is happening on Ramsay Street.

But they do seem to finaly be getting the message, thanks to people like AJ, and are now starting to open up very slightly under the intense pressure.

At this year’s Bilderberg conference, for the first time, there will be a Press Office – hosted by the Bilderberg Welcoming Committee – located on the hotel grounds. The aim of the Press Office will be to facilitate the mainstream and alternative media in their coverage of the meeting.
