Debunking Humor...

(Not my gag, and I couldn't find the original so I cobbled this together using some clip-art which I believe is in the public domain- all credit to the original humourist and artists):

There were a number of studies involving apes in the latter half of the 20th century, where attempts were made to teach them symbolic language (Washoe, Nim Chimpsky, Koko) and even to paint (Congo).

The researchers- along with popular science articles and TV programs- were broadly positive about their results.
Since then, these studies and their conclusions have been challenged, to put it mildly, on methodological and ethical grounds.
Nevertheless...

Might be a bit niche, hoping it might raise a smile for people following the "15 Minute Cities" thread in Conspiracy Theories, "Debunked: 15 Minute Cities are a plot to confine people into regimented zones"

Would have been subtly funnier if it had been "Escape, from Oxford."

the mighty ships tore across the empty wastes of space and finally dived screaming on to the first planet they came across - which happened to be the Earth - where due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was accidentally swallowed by a small dog.
From Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

No, those were the Vogon ships right at the beginning. This fleet was one of those random side jokes that Douglass Adams would occasionally meander into for a page or so to break up less humorous segments.

Why can't they all be this easy?
interesting.

Article:
It is curated in such a way that travellers do not require flights, ferries or boats. The route is all about roads and bridges.
...

As interesting as this sounds, until now, no human has dared to venture on such trips. This walk can be a bit dangerous and some areas fall under the conflicted regions in the world. Not just this, even visa restrictions are a major drawback here. A traveller must have strong survival skills and good immunity for the body to sustain the changing temperatures.

This route has been shared by a Reddit user, long ago, under ‘The Potential Longest Walkable Road’. The post went viral.
