Had to look up Mallaig as it sounded familiar. I may not have been there but definitely been on the ferry from Oban to Lochboisdale as I lived in Baile a' Mhanaich (to use it's proper spelling) when I was little.

Ah right, I was 6 when this was on telly so memories are a bit blurred, still, loving the episodes on youtube, and will report contrails when I spot them.A great series! Fond memories of the 1970s during school holidays! Unfortunately none of that footage is from the actual series. It is just a tribute/recreation using flight simulator footage with the original titles.
