I noticed the same thing when i searched for the link . Hey you get your from Left wing sites dont you :)

The point was more that it's just something that exists in comments. The "right wing" part was more about motivation for spreading misinformation, not a judgement on quality.

15000 Saudis here on student visas that are missing is not a matter of the public ? what the heel are they doing here Im sure they are here via the State Dept the same one that blame a video on the night of Benghazi .
No, the whereabouts of foreign nationals is no more a matter of the public than the whereabouts of you or me.
Tell that to the people who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11 ? or maybe your feel like Hillary " What difference does it Make ?
I can't tell that to the people who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11 because they are already dead. But in all seriousness, what difference does it make if the whereabouts and information regarding foreign nationals are public knowledge?

I showed you my sources about Glenn Beck and his S.A.O. , I want to see your sources on these 15,000 Saudis here on student visas otherwise, it's not a matter worth discussing because it can't be proven.

I believe a lie is something you do on purpose ?
Me too, and Glenn Beck getting the acronym wrong would be a minor issue in itself. But not only did he get it wrong; he told his viewers that the SAO was a special exemption for VIPs so they don't have to be fully vetted which is not at all what an SAO really is. You can't just call this an innocent mistake because he completely changed the definition and purpose of the SAO to suit his narrative. This something that requires thought and you don't just make up things by mistake unless your a compulsive or pathological liar. If he simply did not know what an SAO was, then why did he explain it to his viewers as though he did? Understand that Glenn Beck lied no matter how you spin this.
Again where do you get your news from ?
Why is that relevant to this discussion? Are you just gonna chalk up everything I say to left wing bias because you don't want to address the arguments that I presented which are backed up by facts. I don't think I've seen you back anything up yet in this thread.
Maybe your dont understand his show is a opinion show as his show on Fox and CNN were . Do you understand the difference ?
Maybe you don't understand what an opinion is because facts are not subject to opinion or popularity contests. Is it somehow Glenn Beck's opinion that an SAO is an exemption for VIPs?
where was Obama on the night of the Benghazi Attack ? do some research on that .
Don't try to change the subject because you can't debate me on this one.

Ill try to find they say there are 75000 Saudis here on student visa 15000 are unaccounted for .

Do you believe that foreigners, like Saudis, should be tracked? Should they be required to check in at local police stations when they travel around the United States?

Yes I know but I was looking for more factual information on the Saudis . So are you saying the right is more apt to spread misinformation then the left ?

In general? Maybe, I hear that Fox News' accuracy record is not very good, but I might just be parroting something I heard on The Daily Show :)

That's interesting, because on my visits to communist countries in the early 80's that is exactly what we were required to do. Perhaps you and communists have more in common than you think.

You know you are talking about several million people, right?

This all seems a little un-American. Restrictions on travel, etc.

Should we apply the same restrictions to convicted felons?

ETA: By the way, that is exactly the same rationalization the government officials used on us.
Why Ive Never visited a communist country . Just because your for open borders and dont mind our country being infiltrated by Islamist and communist and Drug Cartels, Illegal Aliens ECT .

There is no system in place to track them. Say they go to a local police station and say "I'm here and I'm a Saudi citizen reporting as ordered." What are the police supposed to do. Enter that person's id into a database. Such a database, to my knowledge, doesn't exist. How do we create one securely and provide access to every sheriff and PD in this country? I have spent five minutes on this problem and I have come up with two pretty big problems.

No Joe. I'm telling you that your reason for tracking foreigners is exactly the same thinking that some communists used. I find your comments interesting for someone who seems to be against police states.

Should people from England also be required to check into police stations while visiting the US? What if they are first generation immigrants to the UK from Saudi Arabia; UK citizens but of Saudi origin. Should those people be tracked while in the US? What if they're second generation? Maybe genetic testing is the solution. Everyone must give a blood sample at the US border and be implanted with an RFID chip.

As should you... because how would the government know that you are who you say you are... Islamists are a tricky lot after all.

I'm not shooting the messenger, I'm just putting the messenger under the light of scrutiny.
A mistake would be getting the acronym wrong, telling his audience that an SAO is something that it is very clearly not is more than a mistake. It's a lie.

He even repeated this so called "mistake" when he interviewed Bob Trent

http://youtu.be/yV701J8IbS0?t=28m20s

He says that "we know that he was let in the country under a special exemption", but conveniently doesn't have the file in front of him probably because Glenn knows that Bob Trent would know what an SAO is and would tell people that it has nothing to do with a special exemption.

But do we practice this on a regular basis? Ever heard of the 4th amendment?

I believe that if you are in a country on a student visa to attend a college and you are no where to be found and have dropped off the radar a country by the way where most of the 9/11 attackers came from and many of them here on student visas . We should know where they are. Not someone who comes here on vacation to visit Disneyworld . You know dam well they are tracking Americans eveyday with systems like Trapwire . lets not forget the Data mining center in Utah that fired up yesterday that will store everything we do electronically . People from England are usually anywhere there's a pub so they can check in there :)

..but isn't the data-mining just in case somebody in the US decides to drop off the radar and become a terrorist? It'll help the authorities locate them should the need arise.

I was born in England, in Bradford, in a town with lots of Muslim radicals. Should I be tracked?
If you were here on a student visa to attend college and never show up at that college then your whole reason for being here is a lie . That means you lied to obtain entry into the US . I dont care if your a Muslim or a Christian or a Space Alien . Immigration you know your location. Its funny when my friend from Manchester lived here he was pretty paranoid of breaking any of our laws since he wasn't a citizen . Yet millions of others break our laws and abuse our system yet no one seems to give a shit . You seem to be fine with that ? I believe they are breaking our laws they should be deported .

They might be but our driver license is what they use as far as facial recognition .

So you are saying they don't have photos (and iris scans) of people entering the country? Of that it only works off drivers licences photos?

But what if Saudi Arabians claim to visit Disneyworld on vacation but they never show up at the resort? They never show up at the gates. They just drop off the radar. Why limit your tracking to Saudis with student visas? Shouldn't all Saudis be tracked? That is where most 9/11 attackers came from, after all. What about UK national of Saudi origin, shouldn't they also be tracked?

Actually it's just a face photo and digital fingerprints. But every visitor since 2004 gets their photo taken.

What are you basing this general presumption that the U.S. does little to no tracking of foreign nationals? How do you know this to be true? Do you really expect that the address, school and workplace of every foreign resident here in the U.S. to be publicly available information? How far do you think this should this surveillance go?

I think there are people who believe the powers that be are watching US citizens from the cradle to the grave, but ignoring people who come from other countries. It makes no sense. But then I find that most people who are into conspiracy theories make no sense.

I suppose that it's just as funny how some of these so called "libertarians" are against this Orwellian surveillance in the name of security but are completely fine with it as long as someone else is being watched.

Someone else who is not a citizen and lied to gain entry . Lets say like the 9/11 hijackers ? Or maybe the Boston Bombers ? Or the attempted Times Square bomber ? Mexican Drug cartels ? Better than liberal suicide like a bunch of Lemmings walking off a cliff :)

Do you know what the odds are of being killed in a terrorist attack? You're probably a thousand or so more times likely to die in a car accident.

What kind of surveillance do you suggest we implement to track these foreigners if we aren't already tracking them to some degree? Did you even look to see if there isn't already system in place to track foreign nationals? Because right here would be a good place to start.

And FWIW, the Boston Bombers and Times Square bomber were all U.S. citizens. And I doubt the Mexican drug cartels even have Visas.

only the younger one was a citizen on sept 11th 2012 same day as Benghazi ? Dzhokhar Became a U.S. Citizen on September 11, 2012 . Times Square Bomber Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old Pakistan-born resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, who had become a U.S. citizen in April 2009 wow a citezen for one year and already wants to kill Americans ? the older dead brother was not a citizen he had Permanent resident status and all of them should have been under watch . there was enough red flags on at least the older one . Open borders nobody needs a visa just look around any town in the United States . I think the Chinese army could invade us and we'd just let them right in . [h=1][/h][h=1]Permanent residence[/h]

Or my brother in law who just died last week from 9/11 sickness being a first responder on 9/11 ? Or losing more freedoms because of terrorist ? 112011_ff_flag_640.jpeg
