Nope.. never heard of Numberwang.. I actually came across Numberphile by complete accident a few years ago.. I was doing some reading up on Fermat's Last Theorum and there was a really good explanation the numberphile guys gave and I fell in love with the channel.. Theyve also got a few others with phile at the end but my second favorite is computerphile.
 
Numberwang is a silly gameshow in a sketch by Mitchell and Webb. They deliberately never explain how it is meant to work.

Well Broadwalk is VERY close to me. There's a library upstairs with internet computers, a massive armoury (of airsoft guns at least) plus plenty of DVDs and computer games and a few food shops. (It has a Gregg's, an Iceland, a Butchers and a fruit and veg shop) plus there;s always Bingo in the basement when you get really bored.

cool and modern though it is, I couldn't cope with Cabot Circus cos I get lost in there easily.

cabot circus would be no good anyway. it has a load of big open entrance walkways, would be a nightmare to barricade and no food shops other than over priced cafes and rancid hotdogs and popcorn from the cinema
 
I often get email scams asking for money, but this one was... special...

What scum. It's a fun and entertaining read, but imagine all the poor saps who have fallen for something as sick and twisted as this.

You should start messaging with this bottom-feeder, waste his time and keep a collation of your correspondence so that you can forward it to the proper authorities.

Start by asking for the account number you want stuff sent to.

Point out that you are not in the USA, but some weird country, like Andorra, and try and goad him into revealing more details about himself like his country.

After a few messages maybe start calling him Dave, in a bid for him to correct you and reveal his name haha.
 
Hmm.....so if s/he gives you an account number can you then empty it of all the other contributions that have been made?? ;)

there are a bunch of websites about baiting scammers...eg http://www.419eater.com/ ...taking some leaves out of their book could be fun if you're up for it......do let us know :)

Seems legit.
 
Apparently the vast majority of these 419 scams actually originate form the USA these days, but use the exact same tactics, pretending to be form the Bank of Africa in Ouagadougou or whatever to try and weed out the non gullible.
