Space X Triangle Shaped UO

This is an extract of an official Space X footage of 2018, filmed by ISS.

You can see a seemingly triangle shaped bunch of lights or metal travel underneath the CRS-16 Dragon capsule.

I have adjusted exposure to make it more clear and linked the original space x footage as well as a shortened one.

What could this be? Lights from
earth? Debris?

Debris doesnt make a ton of sense to me, it looks pretty big if it would have been debris, even bigger if at distance and no one seemed to be concerned about a possible collision. It also gives the illusion to be an almost perfectly shaped triangle (humans and pattern matching hu)

Lights from earth maybe? I couldnt identify it though after playing around with gearth for a couple hours.

Info: Shot was taken on Dec 8, 2018, appx 1:31 AM PST (Livestream start was 1:30 AM PST) from the ISS.

So maybe someone is able to track back the position of the ISS over the earth and can check if these lights would make sense to origin from earth

The fact that the triangle lights up from the Dragon capsule's blinking light suggests proximity and makes the earth hypothesis unlikely. In fact the freeze frame is the moment the triangle is best lit up.

Seemingly metallic, rusty and old. Voyager decided to come back home. 40 years in space is damn lonely for even the most legendary piece of vintage tech.

There's another one at 4:20 -- both go by in the same direction at what looks like the same speed -- looks like lights down on the Earth. Inhabited islands? Fishing fleet? The "rusty:" orange tint to the lights is consistent with a lot of towns' lights at night as seen from ISS.See pic of Clagary below.

I don't think Dragon illuminates it, I think Dragon's thruster puts a bright cloud of propellant in front of it for an instant.

watch the video. you see it pretty clearly the whole time it seems

do you have pics for comparison of the voyager?

Thruster propellant rather than blinking light, thanks for the clarification.

IMPORTANT: Just heard the commentators in the life stream saying "its exactly 1 AM PST now" at the 0:04:00 mark.

So the youtube description of the stream starting at 1:30 pst is wrong.

this actually places the ISS not near NZ but right above North Korea, somewhere on the Mongolian / Russian border.

No worries buddy, the Voyager bit was a silly joke.

But I guess @JMartJr is correct and adds credence to your earth lights hypothesis. If the light flicker on the triangle is caused by a thruster propellant cloud released for a fleeting instant, then the "object" need not be nearby and could be lights from the earth's surface. But if it's a flashing light from the Dragon reflecting on the surface of the triangle, then the object must be nearer.
