Video: triangle light formation going fast across the night sky 2024-10-31

User PlunderYeDingy on Reddit posted or R/UFOs a video of a triangle/boomerang lighe formation moving very fast in a straight line through the night sky. He titled it: I saw this on 10/31/24 around 7pm, I believe it was headed east bound to west towards Corona Borealis.

The original thread with the original video is here. The video is at normal speed, but zoomed in and the contrast has been edited to make the object and the lights more visible.

The user has now posted his original videos on google drive, imgur and youtube. In those videos, the object is barely visible unless you slow down the video, and zoom in. It's especially hard to see on a phone screen.

He posted this description with the video:
I was originally looking up and laying on the ground that night on my back, I was messing with camera exposure to see if I could find the North Star in the nasty smog lit sky of LA. I noticed I barely see stars as per usual. Eventually I got the exposure just right to see stars, then out of the corner of my eyes I saw something not normal zipping super fast out of frame. I held my record button and prayed I caught it flying by! It seriously was traveling so fast. This made my year!!! I have pictures of the sky and stars of where I think not was headed towards, just dm me.

I usually can come up with explanations for most UFO videos but this one is puzzling me. I am curious what the Metabunk community can come up with to make sense of it. My only ideas would be light/laser projection coming from the ground, satellite reentry, lense flare or plane.

It's my first post here so I hope I did it right, let me know if I need to add anything else. I attached the original video to this post in case.

Edit: enhanced video posted today on reddit:

This seems similar in speed and size to this one:

Initial discussion there centered around the hypothesis that it was some bird flying in formation, illuminated by lights from the ground. Ducks were suggested, and some daylight footage looked similar.

But (on Page 6), @Trailspotter presented an alternative hypothesis, that it was a low-flying plane. It was not resolved, and the discussion trailed off.

The full video has metadata with GPS and exact time, I don't think it's a plane I think it's most likely ground illuminated birds, it looks quite fast but as usual it's is it small and slow versus far and fast..

I won't post the location directly here as it's a sort of self dox but its gettable from the original iPhone video file and is near the Industry Hills golf course in LA.

DAL504 (A321) flew around at 7000 feet near the time, but I dont think its close enough.

I think that's the UTC time from the file

The problem is with birds there's no way to prove it with birds and finding examples that you can prove are birds without it being close enough to be obvious is pretty much impossible.

This is their original unedited post for reference. Their later posts are *heavily* edited and cropped a bit.

No shit.. caught in LA at 7pm'ish stabilized, kinda clear. Just wow, made my day!!!

The object in this one is interestingly, not present at all. At least I cannot see it at all. They don't make any other references in the main post besides the quote above.

This specific post is also a major red flag from me from their posts about it. Noting, "TR6 Telos" exists in the community lore. That's not an issue. "TR6 Telos 7 Light Model" is a new lore insert, as is "star camouflage". These were self-added elements by that person that do not referentially exist anywhere else. The fact they identified it as that specifically, when nothing exists even with that terming sequence, is a major issue.
