I'm not sure where the original thread went, but the exact same plane (N853GT) on the exact same flight from NRT-LAX is going right over Washington State 30 miles north of Seattle - apparently "diverting" to CRG again- except that it was never going to LAX.
The poster had a concern about why this plane diverted... well, it was never ever on track to go to LAX today. flightradar24 says "NRT-LAX", but it was never on course for LAX... so the diversion last week apparently wasn't that strange.... because it wasn't a diversion, but perhaps a flightradar24 error (probably because the flight number used to be tied to a flight that went NRT-LAX?).
Remember that when it flew over Redding there were extremely strong winds up here in Washington... up here where it would normally be flying to CRG on a great circle route.
