Problems with Alerts not showing up or linking to old posts

I don't know if other people are experiencing this, but my alerts on the top right don't match what's happening in each thread. There can be several comments made, but the alerts won't show them. Or they show a comment from 45 minutes ago. Sometimes there will be an alert and when I click on it, its from an older comment that I've already read and responded too. I'm not hitting the back button neither...

Can you PM me a specific example link from an alert?

Anyone else having similar problems?

There might be an issue with some things being out of date. I'm going to go through everything tomorrow, spruce things up.

There's been a few times when the ratings havent posted (Funny, informative etc) but other than that I havent seen anything out of the ordinary that I can think of.. Ill keep an eye out though.

I have most alerts switched off (I'd be getting hundreds a day otherwise), and navigate via other means. So I'd not notice if they go wrong.

mines always been like that (in IE anyway) the first new alert per thread shows and if I'm quoted it always shows.

if you access the thread from the side bar menu the alert doesn't go away up top. maybe that's why it seems you've read that one already.

Since I've been on this forum any time I had an alert pop up on the top right, all I had to do was click on it and the alert would disappear but the thread would remain. Last night was weird in that alerts were popping up for threads that were 30 to 45 minutes old that I've already read and responded too. Like as if I was hitting the back button. Sometimes it no alerts at all would pop up, but when I access the thread from the forum list page there would be several new comments in that thread.

I turned my alerts back on, and it seemed fine.

I wonder if it was just that some threads and/or posts got deleted or moved yesterday? Let me know if the odd behavior continues.

I'll be doing some tune-up today.
