Ex F18 Pilot sees UAPs over the pacific - August 18, 2022

A Gulfstream G650 Corporate Jet was flying west of Los Angeles to Maui on the morning of August 18, 2022 around 12:17 AM when it encountered luminous objects above the jet's 47,000 foot altitude.

Pilot states that there were multiple objects going in a circle.

"At least five or ten thousand feet above us"

He's not in an F18 and seeing them through the canopy, he's in a business jet, so probably sees them ahead, somewhat above the horizon.

This was 2022, when Starlink flares were still new.

The "Case 124552", where does that come from? [MUFON]

It is very unusual to hear an air traffic control recording. This is not one of the "live ATC" recordings because it includes the controller's phone calls (but strangely, the recording quality still sucks).
The only other public ATC-side recording I know is a funny bit about French ATC mishearing "toilet" for "pilot", where it's unclear if that is genuine or a (re)creation.
I am still not convinced this is a genuine recording from LA Center. If it is, they seem to have cut a lot, but also left some irrelevant communications in, I think.

Ben Hansen's video suggests they FOIA'd the audio, but the FAA FOIA logs don't bear that out. Perhaps they got it from the FAA in some other way?
