Apologies if this is best posted in an existing thread (I'm new to Metabunk) but noticed there wasn't much discussion about the claims Grusch has made in his most recent (Oct 2026) Joe Rogan Experience appearance

Including a claim that Reptilians and Grays are fighting each other on Earth and that he viewed clear footage of dead aliens pulled from a UFO crash site

Heh - not sure even believers are buying anything Grusch has to say....doesn't seem to even move the needle these days amongst Skeptics.

Probably due to the fact every single one of those claims existed in UFO-lore (i.e folk lore) long before Grusch became an ET enjoyer (circa 2016?).

Am yet to see one claim that wasn't already floated before Project Serpo era Aviary.

Thank you, GPT-6 Astra, for summarizing...

The transcript is a roughly 2½-hour conversation between Joe Rogan and UFO whistleblower David Grusch. Its central argument is that the U.S. government possesses recovered nonhuman craft and bodies, has concealed them for decades, and may soon acknowledge their existence under President Trump.
The following summarizes what the speakers claim; the interview does not establish those claims as facts.

1. Grusch's investigation and alleged retaliation.
Grusch describes investigating secret UFO programs through his intelligence work and later working for Congress. He alleges that he and colleagues faced career retaliation, surveillance, intimidation, and threats. He says people in a classified Senate meeting told him that individuals had considered killing him, but that others intervened.

2. Alleged criminal activity within secret programs.
He claims his investigation uncovered a small group of government personnel conducting serious crimes, including child trafficking, under national-security cover. He says he referred information to the Justice Department, but provides few specifics, citing ongoing investigations and source protection. He distinguishes these alleged offenders from program personnel he considers patriotic.

3. Recovered craft and technological research.
Grusch asserts that the United States and other countries possess nonhuman vehicles and have studied their technology. He says some American advances came from taking inspiration from unusual materials or designs, rather than successfully reproducing entire vehicles. He attributes continued secrecy partly to national security, diplomatic complications, contractor favoritism, and potential legal liability.

4. His most specific claim: footage of recovered bodies.
Around 58 minutes–1 hour 7 minutes, Grusch says he viewed contemporary video showing apparently nonhuman bodies at a recovery site. He describes them as strikingly humanlike and beautiful, with pale bluish-white skin and grayish hair. However, he acknowledges that the footage briefly panned across them, offered limited detail, and was not a close-up. He says he corroborated the event through other sources but supplies no footage or independently examinable evidence in the interview.

5. Multiple alleged kinds of beings, including violent encounters.
He describes reports of humanlike beings, different varieties of "grays," and large reptilian beings. He claims some crashes resulted from conflicts between nonhuman groups. Later, around 2 hours 7–9 minutes, he says surviving reptilian beings killed or injured U.S. personnel and were subsequently shot. These accounts are secondhand, and he repeatedly acknowledges gaps in his knowledge.

6. Speculation about origins, consciousness, and ancient history.
The conversation considers extraterrestrials, an ancient Earth-based civilization, bioengineered occupants, intelligent plasma, telepathy, and consciousness-controlled technology. Rogan and Grusch also speculate that religious texts, Greek gods, Egyptian structures, and unusual Peruvian remains might reflect encounters with nonhuman intelligence. These passages largely consist of hypotheses, anecdotes, and interpretations.

7. Alleged underwater installations.
Around 2 hours 19–21 minutes, Grusch claims there are large underwater installations spanning multiple city blocks, with objects coming and going. He does not identify locations or provide evidence, citing sensitive naval information, and says he does not know their origins or purposes.

8. Disclosure: what he wants and when he expects it.
Grusch expresses strong confidence in Trump's willingness to disclose the subject and argues that an initial acknowledgment must occur before Trump leaves office. He favors a managed release, independent examination of physical evidence, and limited immunity to encourage testimony—while seeking accountability for serious crimes. He also speculates that advanced AI could uncover the alleged secret before governments choose to reveal it.

The central evidentiary distinction: Grusch says he personally saw certain footage and participated in classified discussions; many of his more dramatic accounts come from unnamed sources. He says he has never personally encountered the beings and did not access the biological assessment reports. Rogan generally receives his account sympathetically, occasionally questioning whether particular material could be deception or whether Grusch's interpretations are justified.

I asked for more details on these issues:

1. Reptilians in Tic Tacs fighting grays

2. Sentient Plasma & the Nuclear-UFO link

GRUSCH ON REPTILIANS, SENTIENT PLASMA, AND THE NUCLEAR–UFO LINK

This is an analysis of what is said in the interview, not an independent verification of the claims. The discussion mixes accounts Grusch attributes to government sources, his own hypotheses, and suggestions introduced by Rogan.

1. REPTILIANS IN TIC TACS FIGHTING GRAYS

The story develops in several stages rather than being delivered as one complete account.

At approximately 1:10, Grusch says colleagues involved in recoveries reported seeing living beings, including reptilian-looking beings and "grays." He does not claim to have personally encountered either. The footage he says he watched earlier concerned distinctly humanlike bodies.

At approximately 1:13–1:19, he makes the following claims:

• Some craft crashes allegedly result from conflicts between nonhuman intelligences. He says the government has recorded activity that looks like conflict, while acknowledging uncertainty about its interpretation.

• He associates reptilian beings with Tic Tac-shaped craft, but says the association is not exclusive.

• According to a friend's description, some reptilian beings were over seven feet tall, with an almost gorilla-like appearance and scaly skin. He also mentions more humanoid varieties.

• He says there were dead grays at the recovery scene. Rogan interprets this as grays and reptilians fighting; Grusch agrees.

• He tentatively suggests at least a dozen or two conflict-related crashes, while explicitly saying he does not know the total.

The transcript does not provide enough detail to reconstruct the supposed encounter. We are given no date, location, named eyewitness, description of the grays' vehicle, weapon involved, or clear explanation of how investigators established who attacked whom. Grusch's agreement with Rogan's interpretation is considerably more definite than the supporting details he provides.

At approximately 2:07–2:09, Rogan returns to the surviving reptilians. Grusch then alleges that they survived the crash, posed a threat during the recovery, injured and killed U.S. personnel, and were shot and killed by U.S. personnel.

He gives no casualty count or detailed sequence and says the people present should eventually tell their own stories.

There are therefore two separate alleged conflicts: a confrontation between nonhuman groups that supposedly brought down a craft, followed by a confrontation between surviving occupants and American personnel.

"Tic Tac" here describes a shape. Grusch does not establish that the craft in this story was the object associated with the famous Navy encounter, or that every reported Tic Tac has reptilian occupants.

The evidentiary position: this is Grusch recounting unnamed sources' accounts, with Rogan helping develop the narrative through leading questions. No independently examinable evidence of either conflict is presented in the transcript.

2. SENTIENT PLASMA

At approximately 51–54 minutes, Grusch proposes two substantially different possibilities for luminous "orbs."

A. The plasma itself is intelligent.

The luminous phenomenon could be a form of consciousness-bearing plasma, or a manifestation or probe of an intelligence elsewhere. He even suggests a possible wormhole connection.

B. The plasma surrounds a physical vehicle.

A solid craft could generate a luminous plasma sheath through its propulsion system, making the observer see an orb rather than the vehicle inside.

These are alternative explanations, not interchangeable claims. A glowing envelope around a vehicle would not itself have to be alive or conscious.

Grusch explicitly calls these ideas theoretical. He does not describe testing an orb, obtaining a plasma sample, or seeing a classified finding establishing that plasma is sentient. He mentions publicly available papers without clearly identifying the relevant paper in this exchange.

Rogan adds another possibility: perhaps highly advanced beings have abandoned biological bodies and exist as energy or consciousness. Grusch discusses the Penrose–Hameroff theory of consciousness and invokes quantum entanglement in connection with telepathy and remote viewing.

Within the interview, these connections are asserted or speculated about rather than demonstrated. Naming a consciousness theory does not supply the missing evidence that an observed orb is conscious, communicates telepathically, or comes through a wormhole.

3. THE NUCLEAR–UFO LINK

The transcript contains three different nuclear-related propositions.

A. UFOs allegedly concentrate around nuclear activities.

Grusch and Rogan discuss sightings near weapons facilities, test ranges, and other sensitive installations. Grusch repeatedly cites a supposedly declassified 1952 briefing recording as evidence that officials were concerned about unusual activity at such locations long ago. Later, they reference military witnesses and Robert Hastings's work.

His argument is that the pattern is longstanding and therefore cannot all be attributed to recent secret aircraft. However, the interview does not systematically examine the underlying sightings or establish that they share one explanation.

B. Nuclear explosions may allegedly bring down craft.

At approximately 1:20–1:21, Rogan introduces the suggestion that high-altitude nuclear tests disrupted craft that were unaware a test was coming.

Grusch declines to discuss it, saying the subject involves vulnerabilities and U.S. capabilities.

That is suggestive, but it is not an explicit, detailed confirmation of Rogan's scenario. Grusch identifies no test, recovered vehicle, mechanism, or supporting record.

C. Historical astronomical photographs supposedly show a statistical association.

At approximately 1:21–1:23, they discuss Beatriz Villarroel's work and archival photographic plates taken before Sputnik. They describe transient points of light and quote a finding that such lights were 68% more likely to be recorded within 24 hours after a nuclear test.

Grusch calls the work interesting but acknowledges that it is difficult to conclude the objects were UAP. Rogan moves toward an interpretation that nuclear tests attracted visitors.

Even accepting the quoted statistic provisionally, an association would not by itself establish metallic craft, intelligent visitors, or their reasons for appearing. Those are additional interpretations requiring additional evidence.

Finally, the interview does not establish a specific connection between sentient plasma and nuclear activity. It discusses both within the larger UFO narrative, but supplies no evidence that the nuclear-associated sightings were plasma beings—or that nuclear detonations attract, create, feed, or injure such beings.

External Quote:
1) Known underwater UFO bases multiple city blocks wide
2) Direct footage of he's seen of dead non-human entities
3) Reptilians in Tic Tacs fighting grays
4) George W. Bush sponsored disclosure simulations
5) Sentient Plasma & the Nuclear-UFO link
Unrelated to what Grusch actually said, here's what I think about these:

1) claims as old as Atlantis; these'd be easy to verify if anyone ever gave coordinates, but nope
2) I've seen the old video of the gray alien obduction, too, but I know it's a hoax.
3) let me guess, using lasers? and their spaceships go "swoosh"? sounds made up
4) I'll believe that when I see FOIA'ed documents.
5a) The evidence for "Sentient plasma" has been wobbling white blobs at best, that aren't actually plasma, much less sentient
5b) we've discussed that link as presented by Villarroel and found it unsupported by the evidence (aka bunk)

3) and 4) are new to me, but why would I believe Grusch that this is real, without any evidence?

I don't see any claims of evidence that we could discuss here. We might as well discuss the latest episode of Star Trek; at least the camerawork is better.

I've watched the whole Rogan episode, surprisingly, and the part that stood out to me was where Grusch claims the "alien" bodies were real, because he was shown videos.
When Rogan asks more details on these bodies appearance, he says the video was short and that the bodies were filmed not exactly close up with the camera.
So he couldn't really see them well, but he provides details, and says since he saw the videos, the bodies are there, somewhere.
Maybe "credulous" is not a nice word to use, but no video could ever count as evidence for me.

I was going to say that he appears less and less able to distinguish between fact and fiction every time he resurfaces, but then I realised I always considered his recounting of seeing evidence to be precisely as believable as a representation of facts as a kid gushing about the plot devices in the trashy sci-fi he saw the night before.

More times nothing equals nothing.

He's yet another example of "the more you learn about a ufo disclosure person the worse it gets". As predictable as Chinese lantern vids being misidentified as intelligent alien orbs, or one of my all-time favourites: a wind-blown chunk of party foam being confidently identified as an "angelic alien entity"

No, I am not going to watch something of that length, but let me make a guess: Rogan just listened credulously, making comforting sounds on occasion but seldom challenging Grusch's claims. Am I right? :)

Grusch never backs up his extraordinary claims with any evidence. The AARO gave him every chance to present his evidence but (as always) he refused.

Nothing Grusch says can be taken seriously.
The interesting question is who did Grusch tell that he was going to meet with AARO who then convinced (scared) him into not keeping that appointment? Because is sounds very much like he agreed to meet with AARO, then backed out at the last hour.

The breadth of information he claims to have seems to grow every time he appears. Who is providing this ever expanding breadth of information? It sounds like this information is not coming to him while he is sitting in a SCIF, where you would expect him to get shown video of dead aliens, but rather in an unclassified environment. Thus his willingness to share it without apparent concerns for its presumably classified nature. The poor quality of a short video of dead aliens sounds exactly like what hoaxers/true believers would create to show him, so he can pass it along to the world.

It's on youtube.

I think it's this one:
Article:
The program was thoroughly debunked; the footage was shot on an inexpensive set constructed in a London living room. Its alien bodies were hollow plaster casts filled with offal, sheep brains, and raspberry jam.

A search for "Santilli" gets a lot of results on Metabunk.

Now you too can say that you a video of dead aliens! (Book your Joe Rogan interview!)

So, this is all a bit speculative and requires some inferences, so take it as such. Lots of non-statements and unicorn talk, IMO—but the ramblings of these guys usually catch up with them, from my experience. Here's my take on the fact that Grusch now says he saw the alien body video.

If we take Grusch's own words as true, along with these 2 outside facts:
  1. Grusch said he saw alien bodies in video footage in his latest JRE appearance.
  2. Grusch started working for Eric Burlison on April 1, 2025. There's lots of other outside evidence, but at about 00:02:24–00:03:20, while discussing his congressional work, Grusch says:
"Representative Burlison and I, before I left his office recently, got a 1952 recording that was still classified from Blue Book…"
He immediately describes it as dealing with:

"the seriousness of this issue"
  1. In March, Luna and the Task Force requested 46 UAP video records to be released, and all 46 requested cases appear to be represented in the subsequent release.
  2. We know Eric Burlison was part of this UAP Task Force that sent the March 31st letter.

1791324631443.png

From Luna's March 31 letter:

"To assist the Task Force in its investigation of UAPs we request the following videos be delivered as soon as possible but no later than April 14, 2026:"

https://oversight.house.gov/wp-cont...=cdb23229-b035-f111-8ef2-000d3a14b640&utm.com

Of the 46 numbered UAP requests in Luna's March 31 letter, 41 can be matched cleanly to videos in the Department of War's May 22 PURSUE release by their titles, dates, identifying numbers, callsigns, or descriptions. The remaining five also appear to have corresponding videos in the same release sequence, but their metadata contains discrepancies—usually a different date or a minor difference in the title. So, in practical terms, all 46 requested cases appear to be represented in the release, with 41 strong matches and five probable matches that cannot be called exact because the government's own records don't perfectly agree with Luna's request.

I believe Grusch has painted himself into a logical corner.

Option A: He didn't tell them, meaning he withheld knowledge of potentially extraordinary video evidence from the congressional group actively pursuing UAP material.

Option B: He only saw the video sometime between the Task Force's March 31 request and the September 30, 2026 JRE. This would mean he viewed it after his DoD and intelligence roles, rather than as part of those official duties.

Option C: He did tell them, yet even sympathetic Task Force members have neither publicly discussed the video nor apparently requested its release in the way they have pursued other UAP material.

I used ChatGPT to make the table and run a comparison of the 46 video requests.
