Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth - 990 Tax Returns, Employee Compensation

I wonder if this decline was in part due to the illness and death of Ed Asner (TV Star), who died in August 2021. I suspect he was responsible for a chuck of the individual contributions.

I have seen no evidence for this.
In past years, their form 990 would list by name a few individual contributors (usually themselves organizations rather than individual persons) and their contributions, but I don't recall anything pointing to Asner.
I have seen some rants by the likes of Andy Steele or Craig McKee blaming certain others (Ted Walter, Bill Binnier...) for certain problems in the post-Gage era, but no mention of Asner and the rapid decline in funding, as far as I recall.

Here are attached the IRS Form 990 financial reports of sister organization "LAWYERS COMMITTEE FOR 911 INQUIRY INCORPORATED", IRS Employer Identification number 81-2563999 for years 2019 to 2023.

The 2019 version is the full FOrm 990, in the following years, they submitted the "990EZ" (for "easy") form, required for organizations falling below certain thresholds of revenue etc.

According to the 2019 form, the LC911I was formed in 2016 and first reported incomes (totalling $73,155) in 2018.

In the years 2019 - 2023, they had a sum total revenue of $720,689 and sum total expenses of $717,447. 56% of those expenses were salaries to 7 individuals totalling:

• Mick Harrison: $167,434 (the only one who got a salary in each of these five years)
• David Meiswinkle: $110,500
• Jane Clark: $44,000
• Richard Gage: $41,664
• Kristina Borjesson: $24,180
• Susan Serpa: $15,625
• Charlotte Dennett: $2,980

The highest income year was 2019, with total revenues of $234,115, in the following years they averaged only abour $122,000.

Here is the latest IRS Form 990EZ for the Lawyers' Committee, for the Year 2024.
Total revenues have dropped to a new low of US$ 75,190
"Salaries, other compensation, and employee benefits" are down to US$ 36,708, with the main benefactor being Richard Gage (US$ 22,814). Mick Harrison no longer is listed as an Officer.

And here is AE911Truth's Form 990 for Year 2024.
Revenues are slightly up to US$ 278,662, though still far below what they earned in years past.
Salaries and other compensations were US$ 61,241
The only listed Officer was Andy Steele, who took home a compensation of US$ 54,000

Another tax-exempt organization related to AE911Truth (its director, Ted Walter, was one of the leading figures at AE for years) is the "International Center for 9/11 Justice", formerly known as "International Center for 9/11 Studies", EIN 45-1774031.

Here is their 2023 IRS Form 990EZ (the "easy" form for organizations that typically have less than some sum of revenue in a year):

If this form is to be believed, then the started the year 2023 with assets of over US$ 29k and ended with over US$ 11k, due to revenues of US$ 92k and expenses of US$ 110k

Almost half of these expenses are Ted Walter's own reported salary of US$ 52k as "Executive Director". Other "Officers" are listed, but none work more than 8 hours/week and none receive a (disclosed) income from IC911:

I doubt the completeness of the data. Page 12 for example has "Public" and "Total Support" for years 2019 to 2023. In 2023, they include $87,980, which you also find on page 1, which is roughly 90% of their total revenue. However, for 2020 to 2022, they report 0 "Support", and for 2019 merely US$ 4,021. Where did their 29k assets come from?

The relevance of this group and Ted Walter in 2026 (the year of the 25th anniversary) is that they are part of a "coalition" of Truther groups and individuals (including Richard Gage as himself) who appear to be close to the ears and eyes of Senator Ron Johnson, former presidential candidate Denis Kucinich and former Representative Curt Weldon as well as media personality Tucker Carlson. Some potentially highly publicized media event is in the planning stages for this coming September, and several of the infighting "Truth" groups are tackling each other to get a foot in the door with their various and contradictory pet theories.
