International Chemtrail Association-FaceBook Hoax

Whoever is doing this has a great sense of humour. They are asking chemmies for their street addresses for tailored spraying... Talk about playing to the paranoia!

I hate to admit it... and I know some people here find it annoying, but in some ways... I do enjoy the ICA's humor. It pains me to debunk their latest post (which involves setting an aircraft up for a spray), but I'm sure a lot of chemtrail believers are going to (well, technically many already have) fall for these latest photos:

The top image as most of us all know are ballast tanks. The photo actually contains the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. And... it's not the first time she's interested in Airbus. Photo taken at a Berlin Airshow. Here's the original image link: http://www.airbus.com/galleries/pho...galleries/photo-gallery/filter/cabin/cache/0/

The bottom left photo may be unfamiliar to some, but it is actually a Lavatory Service vehicle. When I was a decade younger... I used to drive one. The big hose is used for the uh... dumping of the aircraft's usually brown lavatory contents. The blue hose is to used to recharge the lavatory system with a mixture of water and blue deodorizer. The purpose of wearing a face shield is obvious. The original photo of the brave technician is here (note the labeling on the panel):

The bottom aircraft was at first illusive to me. I didn't quite recognize the paint job, nor the aircraft at first. One thing I did notice was how the cockpit windows looked, and that some words were intentionally blurred out underneath. After some digging, I have determined this aircraft to be the new Airbus A350, with the Qatar paint scheme. It also coincides with the first photo where the chancellor visits the innards of the aircraft type.

There appears to be some slight differences of the logo in the front, but given that the one posted on the ICA appears to have some photo editing anyways, it wouldn't be surprising if it were slightly modified.

This might elicit a bit of the ewwwwww! factor but it is an actual fact....for a brief period, I worked as "ground-crew"....and did that job of emptying the toilet tanks....we had HORRIBLE ground equipment back then in this job....and the hose BURST as I was emptying a DC-8s
lavatory waste tank.

I was DRENCHED in the "blue fluid", and the waste that comes with it.

So....I've "been there, done that" in many ways.......just to be clear....this happened when I was in my early twenties....

I visited ICA due to a photo someone shared from them today. And yes I had a laugh, then I felt bad that I laughed. I was taught as a kid not to make fun of people. I thought the idea is to help people that have been fed misinformation, as happened to me. It took me 9mths to finally get the education I required to be able to let go of the conspiracy of thinking SRM was possibly already happening. ICA is just feeding the conspiracy at the expense of uneducated minds. I can't see the point and it confuses me.

I feel bad for taking in their humor, though you are absolutely in the right. It's not good to make fun of people.

This Facebook page is so good/bad.

As funny as it is, I agree that it is probably counter productive. Is there any grounds to try and get it taken down? Even if it is satirical it doesn't denote that fact.

They use a pepsi logo, use pop culture jokes, and actively poke fun at believers.

Of course Poe's Law is inviolate, even Bonsai Kitten has its believers.

So you think it credible that those who do the chemtrailing, supposedly a top-secret and illegal activity designed to alter the earth or depopulate it depending on who you read, would organise a public relations association and post their activities on facebook?
That IS the satire.

Look through the comments. They're absolutely serious.

"Since ICA started spraying in the UK, it has been like living in a (dark) paradise. And because some of the chemicals have a sedative effect, crime in my region has fallen by almost 100% In fact, I've even witnessed people dancing in the streets after a low-level spray. Looking forward to a long, dark, sunless Winter. 'Darker skies are safer skies"

"You should do like me. Write a letter each week to the ICA requesting a local spraying. They eventually received my letters and after 10 months of repeated corresponding they will finally spray over my kids primary school, the playground, my local pub and my street . The whole neighbourhood is so thrilled! We can't wait! Thanks ICA!"

"To all the naysayers, there are no government agencies and no industry scientists that say ica causes harm. The only industries with anything to lose are those with sun in their name: sunscreen, sunglass sun power and sun shade companies."

"The ICA will go down in history as one of mankinds greatest achievements"

"Once again, the shills from the sunglass and sunblock companies are here, trying to stop progress. Keep up the good work ICA."

Yep, I've read those comments. You believe them?

They weren't there, though. The conference was months ago and not one member was expected nor showed. Not even as a joke. They weren't there because they don't exist.

If you cant see that you are being made fun of, and quite cruelly and uncalledfor at that, well... that's very sad.

"Thanks, ICA. A cloudy and rainy day today where I live. Nice concentration of chemtrails leading to complete cloud coverage. It's a relief after a spell of hot sunny days, resulting in wildfires all over the province. Great job!"

Is this site paying thousands of people to pretend to openly support the International Chemtrail Association?

Are they lying about attending

Is it a conspiracy?

Err this is THE UK, the place I live? I can tell you crime has not fallen by 100%. Official figures show a 16% fall over all for the year 2013-2014, but there have been changes in the way the statistics are compiled coupled with a 10% margin of error, so they in fact show a decrease of around 6% for the year. However a look at the statistic for a 10 year period show a 3% increase.

As to rises and falls in individual types of crime the figures are all over the place.

For example theft and crmiinal damage are down year on year, but this is mainly regarded as due to better vehicle security (car theft has fallen by nearly 80% in the past 10 years), the increase in CCTV coverage, better anti-theft and anti-vandalism technology etc.

However on the rise are violence against the person, up 11% over the past year. public order and shoplifting offenses, up 5% and 6% respectively. Fraud is up 11% and sexual crimes are up a staggering 73%. (although this may be partly due to increased awareness around issues of date rape, child abuse and sexual exploitation resulting in a rise of crimes being reported that would have previously remained unreported)

All the national statistics are here... http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/crime-stats/crime-statistics/index.html

and if you tell me what 'my region' is I'll dig out the crime figures for that area as well

Now the claim that we have had a 100% crime reduction is utter bullshit, so its either satire, or a genuine claim by someone living in cloud cuckoo land.

Many of the accounts are sock puppets - fake accounts set up so one/few people can look like many. But there are also many active skeptics who think its good to troll people this way. A handful are believers who think its a good idea to create fake evidence. None of those groups need to be paid. This is the same Internet that played 5 billion hours of an unlicsenced Pac Man clone embedded in the Google logo.

Well, I can tell there are a few pilots who joined in on the joke to "support" the ICA. Even Jacob Wycoff the Meteorologist joined in. They aren't sock puppets.

The truth is, a lot of people who do know about meteorology and what goes on in the skies probably at some point get fed up trying to explain this stuff to chemtrail believers, and decide to troll. I won't lie, I almost wanted to do the same thing. I just don't have my own facebook account because I hate facebook, and as someone pointed out, it's incredibly mean and at heart I don't want to be another arse who does this.

Do you seriously think this comment is serious?

why would we be debunking them, if we were paying people to support them. you make no sense.

PLEASE allow me to explain that WEATHER has happened for CENTURIES!!!

Long ago a "ditty" was coined....this is an easy "look-up" online:

http://www.loc.gov/rr/scitech/mysteries/weather-sailor.html

Have you ever heard anyone use the proverb above?

Shakespeare did. He said something similar in his play, Venus and Adonis. “Like a red morn that ever yet betokened, Wreck to the seaman, tempest to the field, Sorrow to the shepherds, woe unto the birds, Gusts and foul flaws to herdmen and to herds.”

In the Bible, (Matthew XVI: 2-3,) Jesus said, “When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering.”

Weather lore has been around since people needed to predict the weather and plan their activities. Sailors and farmers relied on it to navigate ships and plant crops.

PLEASE read this post. I am not a person to use a "bible" verse typically...(as a "non-believer" of ANY so-called "religion"!!!)....call me an "Atheist". I can go with that, as a "label".....

I'm pretty sure I know (via Facebook, not personally) the person who is behind the ICA page. I am not going to share that information, for obvious reasons, but I guarantee it is satire.

you think this is serious?!?

Yes...people 'Actually" believe this nonsense.

I started a thread in "Chit-Chat' to discuss stuff that is, well..."Chit-Chat"-worthy.

Stilll.....there "IS" a particular and immediate point here, that deserves to be addressed seriously.

'POINT' is? I think this is a "spoof"...I may not agree with it, but I can see the "humour" intent....
