Debunked: Crime Scene Photos "Prove" Sandy Hook was a Hoax

An honest assessment of the debunking going on here:

If I can come up with a story, no matter its likelihood to be true, I have debunked the material.

Guys, from the dozens of crime scene photos available there is a fact that can be established:

In every photograph, the area pictured is one or more of the following: dirty, disheveled, in a state of disrepair, neglected, in violation of Connecticut public school code.

Finding these things in a few photographs is to be somewhat expected - no school is perfect. Finding them in every photograph, inside and outside the school, proves Sandy Hook Elementary was not the attractive school that the parents made it out to be in the many interviews they conducted after the incident. This, in turn, suggests a conspiracy by the parents to make the school sound much nicer than it was. The only alternative is that they all decided to lie about the school on their own. This is highly unlikely, and cannot be assumed.

Going with the most likely conclusion based on the evidence, why is formulating a story about a very dirty school being attractive and wonderful an important thing for them all to agree upon seeing as they just lost their children? This question suggests more than meets the eye is at hand here.

Your "evidence" is anything but. Personal incredulity and opinion IS NOT evidence.

"In every photograph, the area pictured is one or more of the following: dirty, disheveled, in a state of disrepair, neglected, in violation of Connecticut public school code."

Name just ONE code violated. Please produce the inspection reports that outline the code violations.

Except, that's really not how it works.

really? because there are thousands of photographs. and halbig shows how many? http://cspsandyhookreport.ct.gov/

Not every picture. Just the ones selected by Halbig for the claims.

The full collection shows recent repairs (and indications of pending or in progress repairs), replaced or refinished doors, recently installed kickplates, new tiles, temporary signage, recent paint, newer door hardware, and so forth.

@Chris Hill , this is the beauty of cherry picking. Do you really think that the list of photos from SH had only 10 pictures? If not, what's your estimation? 20, 50? Try 500, 2000 ...

If the best Halbig can do is find some pictures that, in HIS opinion, shows that SH wasn't a paradise, and that proves a gigantic conspiracy involving 100 parents, law officers, media and pretty much everyone that happens to live in the neighborhood, then there is nothing we can say to change yours or his mind. Please also note that he chose to ignore all other pictures showing that SH had some areas that were actually nice.

THese are the photos he selected. I was on a committee in my school district, putting together a bond initiative. We saw some very dilapidated portions of the school, in dire need of repair. Leaking ceilings, decrepit science labs, the worst was the shop floor was buckled, because the school was built on a swamp and the classroom flooded during torrential rains. It's a shame that some schools don't have the money for repairs, but is not evidence to prove a hoax occurred.

Than
this is over a year old from Halbig. Every aspect has been debunked online just do a google search (not in the mood to search for them though because Halbig has too many ridiculous claims to bother with).

The easel door doesn't look familiar but the others are of SHE. The photos can be found in the official state police report, link below. they were taken the day after the shooting I believe, they tell you when in the report.

I don't know if the windows were safety glass, I see no reason they would have been as they are small windows not at ground level. You might be mixing up the conspiracy claims. I man named George Mason (googlable) originally started the safety glass spiel regarding the front doors, which do require special glass as people can fall into them or some such. I don't remember the specifics but again just do a google search "Sandy hook safety glass debunk" kind of thing.

edit: PS what happens with wood, and you can see this on any outdoor piece of furniture. the water from rain (or mopping) actually would go UNDER the door where there is little to no varnish and the water seeps UP the wood. That's why you get that discoloration on wood furniture exposed to 40+ years of water. And if you do see this on your outdoor furniture, just fyi, don't bother trying to sand it off because its from the inside out.

Thank you for the links. Much appreciated.

Are you an expert in Connecticut school cleanliness? Can you provide an example of what a Connecticut school should look like, please? I picked my niece up from school a few weeks back and to be honest, it didn't look much different than the pictures of Sandy Hook. Granted, it was Massachusetts, but still.

Well, we know you can't be trusted, you guys faked the Marathon Bombing!...that said, the SHES yearly inspection records are online. (even for the years it was closed! ;-))

No, this is pretty much the opposite of what goes on here. In fact, that's how most CT's start (esp. Chemtrails..) and how this strain of Sandy Hook CT has been maintained, by starting with a story that appeals to the naked eye with "look at these pictures, these pictures show X, X is bad, therefore conspiracy!".

What has occurred in this thread is rational thinking to examine the validity of the claims of Halbig, which are based solely on a one sided opinion with minimal no evidence.

Are you really able to accept "logic" such as "Strange place to store an easel" as evidence of a conspiracy??

Or how about "Glass does not appear to be safety glass per regulation" (in the same picture as a bullet hole) being something to start building a case from?

Please, it pretty much debunks itself.

Finding them in every photograph, inside and outside the school, proves Sandy Hook Elementary was not the attractive school that the parents made it out to be in the many interviews they conducted after the incident. This, in turn, suggests a conspiracy by the parents to make the school sound much nicer than it was.

Nowhere have I heard/seen parents of Sandy Hook make comments about the grounds of the school with regards to the ridiculous claims Halbig makes.

Going with the most likely conclusion based on the evidence, why is formulating a story about a very dirty school being attractive and wonderful an important thing for them all to agree upon seeing as they just lost their children? This question suggests more than meets the eye is at hand here.

But this is not the most likely conclusion, is it? The most likely conclusion is that it was a well used school where, like many other schools, not everything was up to the latest building code for one reason or another, and a horrible event occurred there. There is no evidence of conspiracy in any of Halbig's photos, just evidence of not adhering to code.

Perhaps you've misconstrued the intention of their comments relating to it being a nice place and therefore not expecting such a horror to occur there.

This is up there with "the parents interviewed without crying therefore conspiracy!"

It's a callous opinion and nothing more.

Halbig could have saved himself the expense of a hearing by just googling ,he would have found a mass of proof Sandy Hook was always open.
I dont see Halbig demanding things from the Police or FBI instead wasting time with work orders hmm wonder why..?

*clears throat*

id like to give a huge shout out to the person who identified this thing. This is indeed a mouse bait station. A lot of you have weighed in your opinions on this mousebait station. Id like to say on thing.\\

If you truly believe there would be a moustrap of any kind near the front doors of an elementary school you are absolutely beyond reason and logic and you are here to continously agree with eachother. Please. I beg of you. Are you kidding me. I mean even an extremely poor and ghetto HIGH SCHOOL and level of school you think there would be a mouse trap in the front entrance of any school? honestly there can be nothing said and nothing done to help people that think along these lines and we must all come together and show eachother love. we must end this racism this hatred this divide all of it and come together and see the truth.

the funny thing is in order to say you believe the sandy hook shootings happened you have to except about 100000 coincidences and excuses and mis infos. So as "complex" as this conspiracy seems to you and how numerous the actors and players have to be...... well the mistakes and coincidences and *redacted* are pretty numerous.

lets be real you gotta believe that the behavior of the sandy hook residents and every single video edit and weird occurence and the two sets of photos with the same line of kids that evacuated the school twice but suposedly 600 kids were in that building. thats too funny yall. every single time someone talks about the "conspiracy" negatively they say "well itd be so complicated itd be so convuluted theres no way they could pull it off!" ummmm if your willing to except 500 coincidences then they can pull it off.....

You're welcome. ;)

It seems like a great place to me. In a corner on a good travel corridor. The doors are listed as interior, so I'm not sure where exactly they are. It's not an obvious place though, and looks much like where all the mouse traps in my various workplaces have been set. *shrug*

someone who believes a mousetrap would be in an Elementray School entryway just cant be reasoned with. I dont care how rich or poor the school is thats not for us to debate especially when you guys cant use enough logic to form an accurate thought other than breaking every single solitary notion included in this thats been sent to me like 4 times by some moderator ironically

Schools have things mice would eat. Food, paper, art supplies. Mice get everywhere, and even schools need to control them. I'm not sure why you think they are somehow exempt from rodent problems.

It's listed on the photo as an interior door. It's not a front door. I don't know where exactly it is. It could even be th art room, where mice would get into supplies and easels would be expected.

dude you must be on crack..... i cant deal with you. A mouse trap would never be inside any public school on this earth.... please stop replying to me you dont seem to have anything to contribute thats worth an inkling of thought

I don't work in a school, but where I do work we have a rat-sak station in every room. Even the entrance foyer. They are monitored for weight once a week. We don't have a rodent infestation problem, and in my 4 years here we have never had a catch. We just have them.

From www.delaval.com.au, some tips for where to place baits.

Hints and tips
Place baiting points wherever you spot signs of rodent activity

  • Along rat runs, along walls between living and feeding areas
  • Where tell-tale droppings, gnawing, footprints and smears etc are evident
  • In holes and burrows
  • Look beyond obvious “hot spots” to ensure full farmyard control
  • The more points the better, especially with mice infestations

A mouse trap would never be inside any public school on this earth

My state requires all public buildings, including schools, to have child safe vermin traps at all times regardless of the status of infestation. Health code in my county also requirers them in restaurants and stores that sell food, and while it's not required in pet stores, they're just asking for an apocalyptic infestation if they don't preemptively set traps. There's a disgusting but amusing story from my 5th grade class that involved two students getting suspended and triggered a city wide hantavirus scare when several boys pulled a still barely alive rat out of an enclosed trap almost identical to the one in that picture and played catch with it.

While this seems to be more extreme of a requirement than most states, most states and many local districts do seem to have programs for rodent trapping in active schools:
California

Vermont:

Oregon State University:

Maine:

Illinois:

New Orleans:
Edit: not sure why it keeps trying to make this one into a media link, npr.org /2013/12/10/248506088/new-orleans-rat-fighters-go-beyond-baiting-traps

And so on, literally the first five pages of a google search were a solid series of action plans or regulations for rodent trapping in public schools and universities.

you just cant reason with human beings that think mousetraps would be in public schools. im done posting here sorry.

You clearly cannot reason with anyone. Mousetraps are most certainly in public schools here in the UK, and I see no reason to think it would be any different in the USA. Mice are mice.

My daughter's preschool is on the same site as the local primary school, and I see at least two mousetraps on the site every time I walk her in there. You clearly don't have much experience of schools, or mice.

dude you must be on crack..... i cant deal with you. A mouse trap would never be inside any public school on this earth....

Do you have any actual evidence to support that contention?

Because here is the Pocohantas County Board of Education policy on pest control that specifically mentions traps for rodents as well as insects, and placing them wherever pests might be expected - there is no exclusion for indoor areas that I can see.

This document from the EPA also mentions bat stations in addition to mechanical or sticky traps, while Maryland's Dept of Agriculture FAQ about rodent control has this to say about bait stations in schools:

Bait Stations (Insect, Rodent, and Termite)

If bait stations are placed inside of a school building is the school required to provide 24 hour advance notification to parents/guardians and school staff?

No. Bait stations are not included in the definition of Apesticide@. However, schools must provide AIn-School Notification@ to students and staff before a bait station is applied by putting a sign or notice on the door of the room or primary entrance to the area in which the bait station is placed. The notice or sign must remain until the bait station is removed. The sign must include the following information:

1. The statement "Caution ---- Pesticide Application" ;

2. The common name of the pesticide applied;

3. The date the bait station was placed in the room or area; and

4. The contact person from whom additional information, including information on potential adverse effects can be obtained.

I dunno about the US, but the school I went to in London was infested with mice, there were traps and bait stations everywhere, and the school had three cats to help keep the numbers down.

a mousetrap in the front doorway isnt evidence the school wasnt in use?
The opposite of not having mousetraps is: having mice.

I prefer my kids to be around mousetraps than to be around mice.

... I mean even an extremely poor and ghetto HIGH SCHOOL and level of school you think there would be a mouse trap in the front entrance of any school? ...
You probably never visited an extremely poor and ghetto high school before making this assumption, did you?

You probably didn't even research the internet to understand if any of the 98 thousand public schools in US would need to use that or not. You are arguing based on your opinion that schools should never need to use mousetraps as they are supposed to be 100% safe for kids. Guess what? They are not 100% safe.

Finally, why having it at the front entrance is so terrible? What are the correct places to put that? Why are you so sure this is the front entrance?

I guess that you are one of those that at the same time think that the government is destroying the economy to enslave the people and complain that the public services are not perfect.

Oh well, we are probably going to be ignored again by @Channing Jarrett as our questions are inconvenient.

It has become apparent at this juncture that mouse traps are common in government schools (and, in some jurisdictions, even required). Regardless, if your best proof that Sandy Hook was Sandy Hoax is a mousetrap, I'd suggest it's time to give it up.

Oh, but I almost forgot - you also have a freeze frame in which some bloke's lower leg is blocked from view by his upper leg!

May I introduce the phrase 'scraping the bottom of the barrel' at this point?
