It can now! Under Video/Long Exposure When you nudge, only the brightest things get visible trails. Although it's JUST visible on some stars.

That video (at least for me) is very low quality (480p) with lots of compression artifacts, which seems like it would get in the way of the "proper" illusion. For me the illusion is strongest when my finger is stationary or moving slowly...
