I haven't flown at those ranges, but the interference in the video is familiar to me from my quads with analog video transmitters. I think you're right that a fiber link would not have them.

In my opinion the best piece of data you could get would be the time the video was recorded at. Even if you cant get the exact time, knowing if it was recorded in the morning, afternoon, evening or night would help us test the 'solar glare' hypothesis.

From the geolocation we can see that the direction towards the object is east, and it is low towards the horizon, right in a place where the sun would rise in May. But we cant test that hypothesis without knowing the time.

The camera is not analogue, likely the transmission of the video to the FPV controller was an analogue signal over RF.
