Gross and misleading titles.....(Iraq and Pakistan war deaths)

At some point, maybe there will be a forum subject on "Gross and Misleading Titles", in which people can post the titles of such an internet claim / title......and then clarify the titles more to the truth, if they become semi-viral on the net.
(EDIT: although such posts may better be posted in the category they pertain to, if there is already a place on this forum)

The above says that all these people "paid the ultimate price" (death) in relation to 9/11.
This is not true.....the death figures are false.

What the facebook page did was, add all military forces (all involved)....>>>>including all injuries, and claim them as "deaths".......which is false. People generally don't bother to check, believing the Facebook page......then share it, because it "must be true"......(after all, it's being shared by many others).

ORB survey of Iraq War casualties

The survey, conducted by Opinion Research Business (ORB) with 2,414 adults in face-to-face interviews, found that 20 percent of people had had at least one death in their household as a result of the conflict, rather than natural causes.

The last complete census in Iraq conducted in 1997 found 4.05 million households in the country, a figure ORB used to calculate that approximately 1.03 million people had died as a result of the war, the researchers found.

The first survey[1] published on 29 October 2004, estimated 98,000 excess Iraqi deaths (with a range of 8,000 to 194,000, using a 95% confidence interval (CI)) from the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq to that time, or about 50% higher than the death rate prior to the invasion. The authors described this as a conservative estimate, because it excluded the extreme statistical outlier data from Fallujah. If the Fallujah cluster were included, the mortality estimate would increase to 150% over pre-invasion rates (95% CI: 1.6 to 4.2).

The second survey[2][3][4] published on 11 October 2006, estimated 654,965 excess deaths related to the war, or 2.5% of the population, through the end of June 2006. The new study applied similar methods and involved surveys between May 20 and July 10, 2006.[4] More households were surveyed, allowing for a 95% confidence interval of 392,979 to 942,636 excess Iraqi deaths. 601,027 deaths (range of 426,369 to 793,663 using a 95% confidence interval) were due to violence. 31% (186,318) of those were attributed to the Coalition, 24% (144,246) to others, and 46% (276,472) unknown. The causes of violent deaths were gunshot (56% or 336,575), car bomb (13% or 78,133), other explosion/ordnance (14%), air strike (13% or 78,133), accident (2% or 12,020), and unknown (2%).

The Lancet surveys are controversial because their mortality figures are higher than most other reports, including those of the Iraqi Health Ministry and the United Nations,

Researchers estimated there were 405,000 excess Iraqi deaths attributable to the war through mid-2011.

They also attempted to account for deaths missed because families had fled the country, and estimated 55,805 total deaths, bringing the total to nearly 461,000.

About 70 percent of Iraq deaths from 2003-2011 were violent in nature, with most caused by gunshots, followed by car bombs and other explosions, said the study.

Coalition forces were blamed for 35 percent of violent deaths; militias were blamed for 32 percent. The rest were either unknown (21 percent), criminals (11 percent) or Iraqi forces (one percent).

The reports vary widely, and I won't continue to quote each source, or it will look like "cherry-picking".
I tried to give a balance of estimates.
I don't like justifying or tallying "body counts" because of war.
Point is, the top post in question is very far off, and included unrelated figures to suggest that 1,690,903 Iraqis perished because of 9/11........and that few people bother to check it's accuracy or source(s).
