Even if true cancer research such as this does not occur in a vacuum. There would be doctoral candidates, lab assistants who'd have been working with him and quite cognizant of his research.
In addition he would not be the only researcher following this or similar paths.

Are they going to kill them all?

Based on a google search, there are hundreds of people studying immuno-oncology, including some big pharmaceutical companies. It's a promising and potentially lucrative field with billions in research money flying around. "They" would need no less than massacres to slow it down. All of the Big Four recently threw 1.3 billion at IO research, so "Big Pharma" would be burning a major investment to stop it now.

The title claims removal of a paragraph, a single paragraph " proves" a conspiracy to set cancer research back. The OP instead points out the supposed removal and, rather than explain how this "proves" anything, instead simply asks why?
