June 2026 US Capitol UAP Press Conference with David Grusch

Here is a the link to the live press conference. There's Mr. Grusch!

I predict we'll hear little of anything new or interesting. Maybe some minor claims here and there. I'll wait till the recording is available so as to skip over the pontificating. Probably in it's own thread.

They are feeling a bit sidelined as attention shifts to the newest "Gish Gallop" of released videos* perhaps, so needed to get themselves back in front of the cameras?

*I am not accusing the government of a Gish Gallop by intent, but that has been something of the unintended effect. Dump a bunch of files, the first handful get debunked, the Big UFO folks say "Well, those were the obvious ones, when will you debunk the rest of them????"

EDIT -- corrected "news" to "newest" in the first line.

There was mention that they had to get to a meeting? It's unclear if it's around what was being discussed at the press conference or something else, quite bizarre.

The briefing was kind of just to communicate the push for amnesty, with some main characters in the background.

I think (hope) some UFO people did recognize there is still nothing of sufficient interest to be found in the released files so far.

Some quotes:

1. The continuum of alien life, up to and including conscious plasma (Grusch, Q&A)
External Quote:
I certainly don't have the compendium. It's a continuum from [corporeal bipedal] type life to you know what I would consider like sentient [plasma] life, but there are there are several that the US government is aware of.
2. How many recovered craft? (Grusch, Q&A)
External Quote:
Quite quite quite a few, several dozen. So that's uh an ongoing uh list. So can't give you an exact number because I I don't even have I didn't even have full access to that information.
3. The Varginha beings were flown to the US (Fox)
External Quote:
The case occurred in [Varginha], Brazil in 1996 and involves dozens of firsthand reports of UAP and direct contact with living intelligent non-human beings who, according to multiple Brazilian witnesses, were flown out of Brazil to the United States in January of 1996. Recently, the former Brazilian [Minister] of Defense, Aldo [Rebelo], confirmed the incident occurred and stated, "If the US disclosed information on this case, then we in Brazil could do the same."
Rebelo was Defence Minister 2015–16, not in 1996

4. A named Senate staffer vouched for the bodies briefings (Kean)
External Quote:
...of congressional intelligence and defense committees, Kirk McConnell, who is standing here today in the back, he was present in classified settings when highly credible sources briefed senators, including Marco Rubio, about recovered nonhuman bodies.
5. The Tom Clancy dead drop (Burlison)
External Quote:
We've obtained video evidence, including the MQ9 footage of a UAP incident off the coast of Yemen delivered to my office through what can only be described as a Tom Clancy style dead drop.
6. Bin Laden, Area 51, and the helicopter Congress never funded (Moskowitz)
External Quote:
We know about these advanced technology programs. We've know they come out of Area 51. They did when we went to kill Osama bin Laden with an advanced technology helicopter that Congress never funded. There's trillions of dollars missing at the Pentagon.
7. The dead would-be whistleblower (Burlison, then Grusch in Q&A)
External Quote:
We've sought answers on cases like Matthew Sullivan, a would-be whistleblower whose tragic death deserves far more scrutiny than it has received.
External Quote:
Mr. Sullivan uh was on the legacy uh program. Uh I served on active duty with him in the Air Force, but I don't want to discuss details of his knowledge until the federal investigation is complete.
8. Read pages 7 through 16 (Grusch, asked for advice for the public)
External Quote:
I would go watch James Fox's documentaries... there is a declassified 1971 Australian formally classified secret assessment that a couple years ago was put in the Australian National Archives. I encourage people to read page 7 through 16 and that was the nuclear branch chief of the Australian government discussing the US coverup and the involvement of the CIA back in the 70s.
9. The man bun with more clearance than the president (Burchett)
External Quote:
When I'm sitting in a [SCIF] and some little punk in a man bun tells me the president's on a need-to-know basis, folks, that ought to tell you right there what we're up against... This thing's been covered up at least since 1947.
10. Disclosure now runs through Stephen Miller's office (Luna, plus Grusch)
External Quote:
We are grateful to the administration and their effort as well as [Stephen] Miller's office in pursuing the truth.
External Quote:
We do have a meeting set up at the White House. The White House is going to play ball on this... if you are an intelligence official or have knowledge of locations of materials... they are considering and I do believe that they are going to be providing immunity permanently um so that people can't be hit with a violation of the espionage act.

Did they mention new possible whistleblowers to testify alien bodies and crafts or they just "hope" some others will come forward?

Nope, the current whistleblowers/leakers were kind of in the background/paraded.
Like I say, it was just a reinforcement that 4 senators are pushing amnesty so others can come forward.

I wonder how they are going to control actual government secrets being released if the amnesty is approved.
Unless these testimonies will be held behind closed doors first. Kind of defeats the purpose...

I think the real national security secrets (adversaries, foreign drones, espionage) won't be in real danger.
If they talk about alien bodies in freezers, nobody will believe them with no evidence.
So far, that's what they talked about, right?

Amnesty? For what? Anybody that goes to AARO gets automatic whistle-blower status. We have AARO reports of people saying things that did not check out, but we still don't know officially who they were. Unofficially, we can trace some of these claims to known UFO enthusiasts, but they are still afforded whistle-blower status.

Just speculating here, but besides the need to get out in front of the poor quality videos, the amnesty is strange. Perhaps the heat in the kitchen is getting a bit much? Some of these guys have spent years, if not decades, claiming, including in congressional hearings:
  • The US government has crashed UFOs that are reverse engineered by the government or select contractors.
  • These secret programs are deeply buried and maintained with threats and sometimes outright murder.
  • Insiders like Grusch, Elizondo and others know where the bodies and flying saucers are.
  • And more recently, certain members of Congress are going to get secret UFO files released.
Add to that, Kirkpatrick has repeatedly called out an un-named group as perpetuating these claims and that when whistle-blowers did identified specific UFO programs, it didn't pan out. There were secret programs, but not about UFOs.

Amnesty sounds like "Hey I really thought I found a UFO program and I shouldn't get in trouble for trying to point it out. Even if I was wrong"

I think one of these was "immaculate constellation"? Or it had nothing to do with it?

Are any of those under oath? I don't recall any that produced a material claim that might have been challenged, but only things like "I can't tell you unless we're in a SCIF".

Here's the link that Grusch made reference to in the conference - pages 7 -16

The framing on the first page of the 1971 paper (page 6 in the document) provides some useful context.

The paper repeats the standard UFO lore about the CIA trying to cover everything up and appears to be highly influenced by the opinions of Vallée and Hynek regarding Project Blue Book, The Condon Committee, etc. Page 15:

So this is seems to essentially just be reflecting the current lore according to Vallée and Hynek in 1971, not an independent analysis by the Australian IC based on classified documents.

Amnesty sounds like "Hey I really thought I found a UFO program and I shouldn't get in trouble for trying to point it out. Even if I was wrong"

Yep, if everything is so compartmentalised, how do I know if I'm working on alien tech? And I'm sure there are some highly technical people working on the most boring technical stuff that no one is actually interested in. Imagine trying to explain this to congress...
I'm assuming it's only fairly senior people that would have the overall view and I don't see them popping up even with a amnesty carrot.

The press conference kind of came across like a refocus on the whole UAP disclosure story, almost to refocus interest again.
This is what I see what has happened so far:
  1. Disclosure is coming
  2. Declassified info of leaks being released. Documents from the 40s/50s being released (really?). Re-release of existing info.
  3. Now we have to have amnesty in order to understand whats happening
Oh and btw, they are still singing this line that "the public must make their own mind up".
Like shut the front door and just spit it out already...

That one's a bit different. The thing with IC, it's all based on 1 guys memory of what he saw. Mathew Brown, claims that while snooping around on government servers when he should have been doing his actual work, he came across a Power Point deck that contained the IC information. Then he told Shellenburger what he remembered about that deck at a later date. Brown then took to calling himself SunOfAbramelin on X where he posted a convoluted piece about 16th century Enocian magik and how his namesake, Abramelin, is a demonic bringer of chaos. Or something like that. IIRC, any material showing IC documents are recreations based on Brown's claims.

You may be thinking of KONA BLUE. This was a proposed follow on from AAWSAP. The UFO/paranormal enthusiast leaders of AAWSAP and the prime contractor, BAASS, along with the late Senator Reid, tried to get a SAP program stood up at DHS as the DIA, where AAWSAP was housed, was getting ready to pull the plug. The proposed, though never created, KB program was supposed to be an SAP and included UFO language. Thus, when the people that proposed KB went before AARO, they told of a secret SAP program that was about UFOs. Apparently omitting the detail that they had in fact proposed it. It was just shared as a "secret UFO program" that they had heard about. Then they got found out. Unfortunately, as they got whistle-blower protection, AARO could not name names, but other sources made clear who they were.

I was actually thinking of statements like this from Kirkpatrick:

Every named program I had a bunch of people come in and name classified programs. This program is where the aliens are. This program is where the aliens are. No, that program is where the aliens are.

Um, every one of them uh was either a misidentified authentic, highly sensitive uh aerospace program that they shouldn't or didn't have access to, but somehow heard something, saw something somewhere. Um, uh, and none of those were related to extraterrestrial technologies.
Misidentified or misunderstood real programs.

The later pages are far more interesting, where they are discussing the cases of different witness events.
Where is the 2026 version of this stuff????? Ohhh no, you must go and ponder on lame videos to make your own mind up....

Presumably the laughter and cheering and champagne corks popping in Russia, China, North Korea, Iran et al could be heard in the background.

This could be incredibly dangerous.
