Who's Who at the November 13 2024 Congressional UAP Hearings

Corbell's covering letter is a farce. He's practically begging to testify. Begging. Why? So, I'd imagine, in the future he could say, "Look bro, I testified before Congress, it must be true."
I found this bit of interest, I guess you'd say:

Available evidence would indicate that this is not correct. UFO promoters have nothing at all to fear from rogue government factions, or the Men In Black, or anybody else. My evidence: they are all still at large and pushing their narrative.

They are all still out there, selling their books, making their videos, giving interviews. "Journalist" Corbell remains at large, safe and to all appearances reasonably prosperous. None of them have been silenced that I can see, overwrought verbiage to the contrary notwithstanding.

There needs to be push back on this point from Congress, but I won't hold my breath waiting for it.

In Star Trek, the original show, it was taken as a given that the main characters would survive every episode, but that security guy in the red shirt making his first appearance was also making his last. And so it seems with the big names in UFOlogy, they just keep showing up again and again. I guess it's only the minor players who ever suffer from the attentions of the MIB?

What are the tallies for these people into True Believer / Skeptic / Unknown buckets presently?
Good question. I find all the posing and posturing to be somewhat unbecoming. The Usual Suspects so often come across as tourists at these gatherings. I understand their enthusiasm, but it'd be nice if they could at least act like they've been there before (because they have).

Tourists is one take, certainly, but it's no coincidence that they're there at the same time as those they look up to. They're more like an entourage to me; a following. Ducklings imprinted on their leaders.

It's sort of a circus like atmosphere for them. NONE of them have ever really produced any kind of tangible evidence, they've made bad movies, they claim everything from reverse engineered UFOs to psychic abilities. All of this while rehashing worn out tropes like MiB death squads and alien implants to the point of making The X Files look factual.

And yet, here they are in front of congress sharing even more of their rumors and 3rd hand bits of "evidence" without 1 God Damn skeptic or debunker anywhere to be seen! They're there and we're here, sitting behind our computers bemoaning their presence there. From their perspective, the won, at least for now. Their claims are being taken seriously by congress, not ours.

So yeah, they're going to slap each other's back and take selfies and generally revel in the moment. Think about it, Corbel made an entire documentary about the far-fetched claims of Bob Lazar all being true, including having element 115 in his kitchen and as a result he got to enter a statement into the congressional record in the first UFO hearings. No skeptic got to do that. Lazar's stories are ludicrous and yet, this time around the big bombshell was Corbel's IMM CONN "document", even though it's absurd on its face. I half think Corbel is just a performance artist pushing further and further to see what he can say and be believed.

Be curious to see where this goes from here, because I seriously doubt there is any evidence for any of their claims. We'll see how long IMM CONN can go on with nothing more to back it up and if it'll be part of the next set of hearings.

Plan 9 From Outer Space is bad/good, tho.

So far, none have been nominated for Cabinet positions, but maybe next week.

Truly, it's impossible here to take any of them seriously. Obviously, they don't even take themselves seriously. Siriusly, tho.

I wonder what is next for them. Corbell seems to have taken the issue of the cover page from IC badly (he had one very childish tweet on it), he is promoting some other figures such as James Fox but doesn't see to have a set date for his own show. There doesn't seem to be any new cases to talk about, unless they are going to milk the recent hearing to death. Who knows, maybe they might start focusing on implants and other more woo woo subjects from the back catalogue.
