White dot in top left of Gimbal video

In the Gimbal navy ufo video I notice a moving white dot in the top left hand corner of the display.

Is that just an artifact of the IR camera system or one of the other targets they talk about?

It looks the same in both WHT and BLK IR mode

that is discussed in the actual gimbal thread. here is the in site search results. one guy calls it a pipper, another says it indicates north, another says it indicates the plane location in relation to the locked in target.

Thanks I noticed it on the GOFAST video too. I think the target relative to plane explanation sounds most likely.
 
If the pipper is the plane relative to the target, does that change the calculations Mick made in his analysis for Go Fast?
