Aliens. Extraterrestrials. Extraterrestrial (or alien) beings/ creatures/ organisms.
Pretty much anything whose meaning is clear in the context, but which doesn't reward (e.g.) Grusch, or his confidantes, for making up new science-y terms without...
Agreed, I'm surprised Shermer quoted this but didn't challenge it.
Strongly agree.
We need to understand what claimants and UFO enthusiasts mean, but that doesn't mean we should adopt examples of pseudoscientific jargon.
As mentioned in other...
I was at one time a fan of Dave's videos. They have become more strident, less entertaining and in many ways less informative and useful. It's a shame.
For those not familiar with him, he seems to have originally focused on online tutorials on...
There is indeed a pattern of pilots seeing stuff they either can't identify, or that they attribute to something erroneously. However, on further post-flight analysis the things that can be identified have turned out to be entirely prosaic albeit...

They don't have the ability to "pay hyper-focused attention" to the details of an unknown object while they are doing the same to...
I feel like this case deserves real emphasis when we talk about pilots being reliable witnesses. This was not an object in the air with no references. They knew the approximate distance and speed (on the ground at road speeds at most), and they...
The video was a screen recording of me trying to move the camera after importing the KML but its pointless now I know that that that was caused by Sitrec making assumptions about what I wanted to do with the camera
When you import a KML with multiple tracks, it currently assumes you want to use one of them as the camera and the other as the target (using the first two). This historically was the case, but not so much now.
I'll rework this so what happens...
Also I should mention the shape is what has aviation nerds especially interested! Since the F-47 and F/A-XX programs are underway, these sightings could be a glimpse at those 6th gen fighters!

No, they were on public land, and security knew they were there. They flew the jet in their sight knowing they were there. The military either didn't care or wanted footage of it to get out. Likely to get potential adversary nations concerned...
