I'm Jérôme Beau, from France. For many years I've been writing RR0 (rr0.org), a French-language encyclopedic site on UFO cases, people and history, where I try to stick to facts and sources rather than opinions. More recently I (re-)started UFO@home (ufoathome.org), an open-source tool that replays a sighting report in 3D: the real sky of that date and place, terrain, weather, instrument, and the angular gap between what a proposed explanation would show and what the witness said.

I've been reading Metabunk for a long time and I appreciate the evidence-first approach and tools like Sitrec. I'd like to contribute to the Western US Event thread (DOW-UAP-D077 to D083), where I have some checkable data on the dates, a possible location and the flare hypothesis.

Hi, I'm ptrol64 and I landed here searching for somewhere to debunk what I captured on one of my home cameras. I'm all for the paranormal, except when it's at MY house!! LOL!! Anyway, is this the right place to post a video like that? It's been amazing reading some of the threads, there's a lot going on that one would never think abaout!!

If it was in the sky, then https://www.metabunk.org/forums/Skydentify/ is the right place. We'd like to have the time, date, approximate location, and if possible the direction the camera was pointing.

If it wasn't in the sky, posting in https://www.metabunk.org/forums/ghosts-monsters-and-the-paranormal.62/ is probably best.

It helps if you can upload the original unedited video somewhere.

Please don't be disappointed if the best we can do are some good guesses; while we strive for identifications, sometimes there's just not enough to go on.
