Sionyx Aurora Pro Night Vision Footage - Any Requests?

Hey all.

I love seeing the new discussions, and the fun of logic pushed against the power of story telling. That said...I am one of the weird folks that is fascinated watching the night sky and it's many interesting offerings. I live in Windham, Maine. Not really a hotspot of much lately, but I have a Sionyx Aurora Pro coming this weekend before heading into the woods for a week off with the family. I would LOVE to be used as a resource for comparison videos of the stuff so commonly called "uap", or "ufo" on youtube. So many birds, bugs, planes, satellites are being used to push a false science. I would love to see something that cannot be explained.

It would be fun, and interesting in many ways. But...when I go bass fishing, it would be fun to pull up 15lb fish every night, and if I hold the fish close enough to camera when taking pictures, I could convince 99% of the population that I am. It doesn't make it real. My "sky fishing" is fun because I lead with logic and skeptism and hope that something that challenges reason occurs. Hasn't yet....at least not for me.

At first I thought a site focused on airing claims to daylight, logic and data would be a huge turn off, but I wish more of the "ufo hunter" types understood that it is giving respect and time to claims that are used falsely by folks like Greer and others for financial gain and fame. They NEVER take a minute to do the science applied here, and in my opinion that shows they don't love and respect these topics. They use what they can and magnify it, lie about and sell it. Sorry to be so long winded....I had a tasty caffeine drink 20 minutes ago and I am feeling yappy. (please don't debunk the effects of caffeine on humans...it will ruin me!)

So again...if there is any footage that you would like gathered for baselines from someone who will film the sky with a skeptical eye just enyoying it's mystery and beauty, request away. I will be filming year round, and from interesting locations for perspective as time allows. Warmest regards to the boffins here.

Ducks/geese etc in formations, a 3 up flock in a triangle if possible.
I presume you're after underlit ones, such that they are light compared to the sky behind them. Great idea, if it's possible.
I do notice that the device seems to reach into the near infrared (-1100nm), but not in a way that their heat could be captured.

Yes....I am seeing discourse on videos, especially from folks with the Aurora Pro, where it is claimed that these flocks of birds flying are UAP, "morphing triangles", proof of other dimensions.. I don't know if it's because I'm from the Northeast and we see so many of these in the fall that it is pretty obvious, but I want to prove it out. I am also shocked with the number folks bringing up "rods" again. That was debunked carefully years back as bugs...but....folks just can't seem to help themselves.

"available IR illuminator (sold separately)" - https://www.sionyx.com/products/aurora-pro

However, I'm wondering how that offer is substantially different from "available decorative battle axe (sold separately)".
I think the IR illuminator is mainly for folks who are hunting, playing airsoft competitions at night. I want to clarify the discussions for the folks pointing the Aurora at the night sky and are seeing bugs, birds, bats, drones....and unfortunately think, or at least claim to think (can they really?) that it's all magical orbs and some guy from the Galactic Federation?? I am so frustrated that Greer has everyone's heads on backwards with all of the CE5 stuff. I find it most damaging for the folks who can't seem to think for themselves and eat up every lie he sells at a high price.

If you can get planes with their landing lights on (taking off/coming in) that would be a useful data point to compare against the Tedesco brothers' footage of a plane taking off, which was also captured with the same device.

Some shots of satellite flares would probably be useful and look pretty cool.
Thank you. I will get some baselines on the most common misconceptions made with night vision. I can't believe the Tedesco brother's footage garnered that much attention online. I saw one of their vids and could tell right off that they were off the mark regarding what they were seeing, and more importantly, their approach to gathering data. Are there any companies out there that have a "critical thinking" scope attachment? "Put this new attachment on any scope or camera you have, and it will save you time editing and posting poor videos of birds, planes and bugs.

Also just a bit of data about the frequency of such events might be nice. For example - do you have to wait 5 minutes for a flare, or an hour? (Also, to make things more comparable, what Bortle are you? The location you gave seemed pretty sparse, so I presume you have pretty clear skies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bortle_scale )

About five minutes, in my limited experience, about an hour after sunset. But there would likely by far more visible in a darker location.

I looked up a bit about Bortle for my area. It looks like a great area within 13 miles of where I am, South Windham, Me, will be the Blueberry Pond Observatory in Pownal. I am working on finding the best locations based on what I am aiming to achieve. I do very much appreciate the ideas and insights. I am a newbie to this process and will use all recommendations.

Hello, if you are still open for experimenting some footage of Venus or another bright planet or star would be great, specifically showing it out of focus and then focusing on on it and back out again.

Thanks
