Geo-located to here https://maps.app.goo.gl/9rkmJ9u1ov2WPMhX9 as per OPs maps

Original video was requested and uploaded to me time metadata on the video seems to match claimed date and time, location data is missing, but the geo-location is accurate

It looks like a plane with landers on and there are 2 that are candidates for direction but they don't match exactly based on the video time, however 1 matches somewhat for 25 minutes earlier except maybe its a bit too high.

But it shows that planes would approach the runway in that sort of area regularly.

Here is a sitrec for that match that you can use as a starting point

I have the orginal video but it is too large to attach here is a dropbox

I agree that it looks like a distant landing light on a fixed wing aircraft.

It seems to reverse course several times, but that seems to be a parallax illusion, because the guy taking the video walks from side to side. The tree branches are close, the aircraft is distant. If the camera shifts slightly, you get this parallax illusion. The illusory changes in course might make one think of a helicopter.

But because of the distance, there would be no noise. Thus the preemptive objection that it's not a helicopter. Helicopters are noisy, this was silent.

We can't rule out the possibility that it might be a helicopter, and that at least some of the course changes are real, but more distant than the witness assumed. I doubt it, because the apparent brightness of the light doesn't change much. That indicates a powerful and directional light source that is steadily pointed at the witness. Like a landing light on an approaching airplane.

Re-watch. The light is moving from our right to our left, then there is one real course change. It begins to move from our left to our right. There's too much movement relative to the basketball hoop to be explained by a parallax illusion due to the camera movement.

This is consistent with a fixed wing aircraft making a fairly slow left turn. The witness assumes all motion is in 2 dimensions (lateral movements), but it is a 3-D world.

I got confused by an almost identical looking thing a year or so ago.

I saw a very bright, but small object in the night sky, at a fairly low elevation (just above my garden hedge) to the south. At first I thought it was a planet, but it's position didn't seem right for that and it was brighter than I remembered seeing any planet before. I checked that part of the sky in a sky map app, but that showed no planet or bright star in that part of the sky. As the light didn't seem to move, I was left stumped, until a minute or two later, I could that it was moving slowly from right to left, from my point of view.

That's when I realised it was probably an aircraft, that I was seeing the landing lights of, so I checked an ADSB app and found it was a plane on approach to Manchester airport.

The only difference between that and what's in the video i n the OP, is that what I saw appeared to be smaller in the field of view, but the light I saw was on a very clear night, whereas this video is taken in conditions of light cloud, causing some spreading of the light.

@jarlrmai I agree that the airliner candidates dont seem to fit. I added some buildings to the stitch to try and get a better line of sight to the light, and after scrubbing the video back and forth I'm not sure that it even is a plane. It could be a quadcopter drone, and on that LoS at 766m there is a park which could be where a drone is being flown from? (Although that is very speculative.).

Time: March 11th, 2026, 6:42 AM.
Location: Elyria, Ohio, USA.

I work 3rd shift. Came home and was taking the trash cans out to the curb. I thought I saw the moon in the corner of my eye, only to see it moving. And moving strangely. It was a ball of light. I posted this to a local city Facebook page and 3 other videos of the object were also posted, from different people, and different angles. Each video depicts a ball of light. Etheric, ghostly. No apparent structure or sound. The strobing effect seen in my video is the object's light being impeded by the nearby branches on the trees. After I lost sight of it, I hopped in my car to try and follow it, but it started raining heavily. It was cloudy all night/morning. Only thing I can think of is a drone. But right before heavy rainfall? No strobing lights of any other color? No sound? I've never seen anything like this, but I've always been interested in paranormal and UAPs.

Farther down "Moist_Cartographer" posts links to three YT shorts.

These were uploaded on the same YT channel. I was thinking for a minute, "Hey, these are 3 different videos uploaded by the same witness, not three different witnesses." Then I realized that the channel belongs to "Moist Carthographer" and this is where he uploaded those videos that he took from the Facebook page he talks about.

Are we sure these videos were all taken on the same day at about the same time? Can't be sure, but I'm pretty confident they were.

Were these taken all at the same minute? No, one was taken in heavy rain. That means this thing stuck around for a long time. In the same general pre-dawn window. But for many minutes.

This changes things entirely and moves me solidly away from landing lights. Too many witnesses, too many angles. Under low clouds...

This mystery light:
- Attracted a lot of attention, so it must have been unusual. One witness can get confused by landing lights. But all these different witnesses? Not likely.
- Stuck around for a long time - long enough for at least four witnesses to video it, and for the weather to change.
- Was flying in heavy rain.

Not fixed wing aircraft. Not hobbyist drone flying around just before dawn in the rain.

My guess has shifted to an industrial drone doing inspections of power lines, cell phones or preparing for some other emergency. A powerful storm was moving in and the power company (or etc.) had their drone(s) out preemptively.

This video shows a drone doing a nighttime inspection of a cell tower. Note that it's raining. Note also the lack of anti-collision strobe or other navigation lights. Apparently they are not legally required. (Need to find more info on that.)

Moving back to our sighting...
The mist and rain could make this drone with a powerful spotlight appear even more mysterious, because of light was diffused by water droplets/raindrops.

Each video depicts a ball of light. Etheric, ghostly.

Also raining in this video...

This one has some green lights. But note how much more powerful the spotlight is. The spotlight would be visible for miles. The greenlights would become unnoticeable at some distance. Not very far, probably.

Related issue... This inevitable objection: "There was no sound."
Answer: It was farther away than you thought.

Good grief, more drone grid maintenance at night. (also raining)

Fine tuning. It may be more likely that actual maintenance was going on, not just preemptive inspection.

Unless the rainy video is a different event
If some number of drones greater than 1 were out and about to inspect power lines and what-not, they might be seen in separate events that evening, or even on successive evenings. If it was just 1 drone different sightings might have occurred at different points in its time in the air.

The third video seems to be of a different event it was posted 14 weeks ago which is around the time the person took their video, but the poster says it was a year ago.

Well done.

In the "Moist_Cartographer" video, the camera is pointed just west of due south.

That means they were both looking in the direction of this approximate section of Fuller Road.

The taller transmission towers are tentatively identified as a 138kV line.

Both Gemini and GPT identify it as: a segment of the Elyria–Lorain 138 kV line

I can't be sure this was a drone involved in inspection/maintenance of this line, but:

Although I did not explicitly predict that there would be a nearby high voltage line along the line of sight of these witnesses, there was certainly an implicit prediction. When you make a prediction, and the prediction is confirmed, that's pretty good stuff.

The null hypothesis: There will be no nearby high voltage lines along the line of sight of at least two witnesses.

The null hypothesis can be rejected.

Re: The location of this video...

I don't think this is the exact match, but it was somewhere in this mobile home park.

There seems to be a 138-kV line somewhere in that area. Still checking.
This seems to be it:

It runs up from the south, apparently from Grafton or near Grafton.

In Elyria it runs north to a substation next to Ely Stadium.
Red: Substation
Green: 138-kV line

Wood St. Video (Video 2) partial transcript. There seem to be two kids, and Mom taking the video.:

Yo, mom, that is not a (mumble).
I don't know, it's coming towards us.
Is that a drone? I'm hoping (mumble).
Yeah, that's a drone.
Nuh uh.
Mom: I don't know what it is, but it started out by the stadium.

In the video it seems to be traveling west, toward the stadium. So maybe it ran east along Fuller Road, then turned back to the west. Is this the maneuver we saw in the Reddit Video? (First from camera right to camera left, then from camera left to camera right.)

Tentative scenario.

Red: Substation
Blue: "Moist _Cartographer" line of sight.
Pink: The line of sight for the folks on Wood Street.
Ely 106.png

A commercial drone with a powerful spotlight moved east along Fuller St. then reversed course and moved back west.

Moist _Cartographer saw it move from his right to his left, then reverse course. It then moved from his left to his right.

The Wood Street folk saw it move from their right to their left as it moved back toward the stadium/substation area. The video didn't start until the drone had already reversed course.
