Second this request-- or does anybody have a moment to give a quick rundown? I recall seeing the videos the first time (I think it was the first time, first time to me, anyway, EDIT TO ADD --looking at the date Mick started the thread, they obviously had been around for some time before I saw them posted as new video!) that they came around, and it looked to me like drones If they were demonstrably something else, knowing that would be useful so IL don't give a false debunk to folks!Someone perhaps know another link to the debunking done?
Also worth noting that I've seen the Tenple Mount UFO vids shared as exciting new sightings since 2019 (since COVID lockdown) so when presented with "new" claims it is worth looking through the back catalogue here as it may not be as new as somebody claims ..That first post (from 2011) is a prime example of why we have the "no click" link policy now.
i dont know how to link to exact comment. scroll down to comment 4 with the Penguin avatar, he's got the urls all linkedBut, it is gone. Someone perhaps know another link to the debunking done?
The Jerusalem UFO at Dome Of The Rock on January 28, 2011
by Marshall Brain | January 31, 2011
This will be fun to watch this week if news organizations pick it up. Over the weekend, three videos popped up on YouTube. They claim to show a UFO – in the form of a glowing orb – that appears over the Dome Of The Rock in Jerusalem on January 28, 2011. This is the location:

This is the first video:
This is the second video, supposedly taken from a cell-phone camera held by a man seen in the first video:
Jerusalem UFO, Two Videos Synchronized:
And this is the third video, supposedly from an unrelated group of American Tourists from a different vantage point:
Slowed down version of the first video:
This page offers some details:
Two witnesses who happened to be at the Armon Hanatziv panoramic lookout over Mount Zion and the Dome of the Rock/Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Israel at 1am managed to film what might be one of the most interesting UFO clips ever captured… One of the witnesses, Mr Eli Gael…
A first attempt at demonstrating that it is a hoax:
From the video’s description:
This is a stabilized version of the Temple Mount UFO video. The brightness and contrast have also been increased. This video highlights a major flaw of perspective, and proves it is fake…
A second attempt:
A third attempt:
A fourth attempt:
From the video’s description:
This is the “second view” of the fake UFO, which is motion tracked. If you watch the UFO in the beginning of the video, it is bouncing around like crazy. I think they had tracking issues when compositing the UFO into the scene.
Part of a larger trend?
Unfortunately some people claim that particular video was a bad fake made after the fact to discredit the other, genuine videos.I remade one of the videos using the photo from Wikipedia & Blender, a free 3D modelling & animation app. It took under 5 minutes. The method is incredibly simple and I'm pretty sure I used the same method as the original hoaxer.
