It occurs to me that you've just described the plot of Jumanji as well, but the movie makes it into obvious fantasy fiction. Same plot, but aimed at an entirely different audience.

The "dybbuk box" movie is one i can think of aimed at kinda the same audience. It's demons/curses, not aliens, but i'd categorize it as the same general audience.

Such "found footage" or "home movies" of this tube-movie quality* are pretty common in the ghost/demon/curse genre. And most deal with 'messing with something you shouldnt'. Quite a few have even made it onto streaming services eventually.

*Dybbuk box is of the quality of say Paranormal Activity 1, not this tube-movie, so im talking about movies i cant think of their names right now.
