What do you think vegetation management refers to?

Kennelly is the technology guy for the UK part of a large GIS company. He is not in the decision process to cut down trees. This thread is about whether trees are being cut down due to 5g. There is no evidence this is happening.

“Ports or nuclear power stations or airports are effectively mini-cities with a very distinct purpose. There is a drive to achieve something – to maximise economy or through-traffic. So in China, when they build a new city, the focus is on a very specific thing. In older cities, commonly the city isn’t managed by a common entity. It’s managed by a transport department, and a water department and so on.

“There are lots of competing interests. Suddenly, the desire to get a decent 5G signal to your phone is related to the grounds management department and this is not even on their radar at all. So some of the barriers that we face are political.

I got 50 cents per lawn mowed, as a kid. Vegetation management funded my purchases of footballs and black licorice..

This vague, local comment obviously fails, as support of the OP.

If it's being offered as some of the better evidence of an alleged but unseen trend,
then its weakness is better testimony of the lack of decent evidence.

Is this a general "trees are being cut down for 5G" thread, or should each particular bunch of trees/program have its own?

A friend in Amsterdam has voiced concerns that trees on Rozengracht are being cleared for 5G. Here's a facebook post addressing that:

Meanwhile on Rozengracht...the installment of the 5G network.

When the Gemeente Amsterdam announced to reorganize the street and cut all of the trees at Rozengracht, we asked them if they wanted to revise the street for the installment of 5G. They have always denied that and assured us it was absolutely not the case.

But guess what, the case of the trees is still ongoing and postponed and they have started with the installment of 5G.
