I have added a sidebar to the right of the screen which keeps an up-to-date list of forum posts.
Since this does not show the name of the poster, just the avatar, it would be useful if people could set an avatar, either using gravatar, or in the avatar setting page here:

You can pick a default image, or upload or link your own.
I'll add temp avatars for some posters, feel free to change them.
