Avatar Guidelines

Avatars are images that are used to identify you in a thread. A good avatar should be memorable and relate to you. Some guidelines:

  • Do not use a photo of a person unless it is you
  • Do not use anything that could be seen to be mocking, or otherwise breaks the Politeness Policy
  • Do not use potentially offensive images, nudity, violence, or implied threats.
  • Do not use animated GIFs
  • Use a square image
  • Avoid changing your avatar once you've posted a few times with it.
  • Don't use an avatar that is similar to someone else's
If you do not choose an avatar, then eventually a semi-random avatar will be created for you. You can change this if you like.
