I really don’t understand this way of thinking (of most ufologists).
I really suspect some pilots somewhere might have looked at something odd, maybe possible undiscovered phenomena. But I would never ask anyone to count that as proof of anything.
Indeed, a metal plate is a very good match. They also described the object as silvery. If they knew it was an aluminum plate, describing it that way would make perfect sense.

You can experiment with this by hodling down "C" and moving the camera in the main view. City-wide motion won't make much difference to which satellites flare. It makes a small difference in the position of the satellites relative to the stars...
