Funny.
I had a "universal lid" that fit any size of frying pan, one that strongly resembled that "UFO". I unscrewed the knob, thus providing a convenient hole, and threaded it over the wire holding a bird feeder. It did a great job of squirrel-proofing... -

Off-topic a bit,, but a tin or aluminium plate would be light, cheap and easy to punch a hole through for a suspension point. They were very common in the 20th century.

Mick West replied to the thread Fixed Elevation locked at 31 feet.This is fixed. The problem was to do with a mismatch between Google's 3D tiles and the base elevation. The tiles are high resolution, and the position of this camera on a curving slope meant the camera though it was underground. -
