From Chichester's Seaplane Solo, 1934, usefully quoted by @Giddierone in post #7,
When quite near, it suddenly became its own ghost. For one second I could see clear through it and the next, so quickly as a flame can vanish, it had vanished. A...
It's likely a helicopter, someone on Reddit has already done all the work so I'll share their comment
This looks like a helicopter, probably something like an EC-135 or similar based on the tail, traveling away from the camera... not an object...
I did too, but years ago when we lived at White Sands Missile Range (New Mexico) I also used it for watching incoming test rockets. They'd fire one from Utah (Green River) and six minutes later we could look at Polaris, then see TWO north stars...
My layman's take-away to this point...
Therer seem to be several possible mundane-if-unusual things that Chichester might have seen. It may be possible to identify which particular one it was, or it may not. However, several ordinary...
I forgot all about fixing this. So now here it is in the new and improved Sitrec with 3D buildings.

This was filmed on March 29...
Recall though that the goal of art is not always (or perhaps it is more accurate to say "is seldom") to create 100% accurate historical facsimiles. Art is about interpreting, adapting, finding things to say, evoking emotion.
Look at this here...
There are some great posts on Metabunk explaining how the Raytheon MTS systems work (OSD, FOVs, tracking modes and other settings etc.) but they are scattered through different threads. It’s not always easy to search for them when you are having...
Youtube recommended that original viral video so I wanted to see what that object was as well. Thanks to the group's sleuthing and a few minutes of search I think I'm pretty sure it's this:

I do not question Mr Hughes' credibility. What I have difficulty believing is that he would be in any position to have any context/understanding of what he thinks he witnessed as a second class petty officer. This is like being in the LIZ of...
