    I did too, but years ago when we lived at White Sands Missile Range (New Mexico) I also used it for watching incoming test rockets. They'd fire one from Utah (Green River) and six minutes later we could look at Polaris, then see TWO north stars...

    Agreed with the caveat that I do not find meteors, re-entering space debris, or the ISS prosaic as we commonly use the word. Those are things I actually enjoy watching for and that may be an additional distinction between believers and myself...

    Circumstantial evidence is still evidence, e.g. a footprint or a plausible motive, which must then be linked by a logical step (rather than other evidence) to the case being presented. The balance of probabilities is what carries the weight...
