Plane motion now fixed. This was a classic case of me fixing another bug and making a new one due to lack of tests. So I've also added tests to catch similar things. -

Sundogs sometimes look rectangular, depending on the shape of the cloud that they appear inside. The 'no definable borders' characteristic is particularly indicative of a sundog, circumzenithal arc or some other parhelia phenomenon.

I would like to see any artifacts that might have been created for the fake program, such as the quad chart he mentioned. I think it would be funny. And it might get some of the "witnesses" to go public and confirm those are the documents they saw.
