In 2024 there were two newspaper reports of broken turbines. One near Nantucket, the other in the Dogger Bank site in the North Sea. Both turbines were made by GE Vernova.
I begin to wonder if it might not be a place in the world at all. Would it be a thing that the military might do, to create a simulation for training purposes, possibly even to demonstrate something that is small, slow and close can look larger...
I searched the area for hours with that map Flarkey posted and didn't find anything. So I really think it's a totally other place in the world.
The problem is you have nothing other than the turbines to go from.
It's a funny one because usually the tiniest obscure thing can be geolocated with amazing speed. There's tons of OSINT data about wind turbines, like almost daily satellite imagery, yet this one remains a mystery / some kind of optical illusion.
I don't think there is a nerdier group than this! :D
I gave up long time ago but you guys never do, I love it!!
...and all just to show what we already know, that the object is flying in front of the windmills.
I think the "could it be genuine" question is a serious one, not merely a lack of skepticism. That's especially true since the answer, from everyone from physicists to pilots, is a resounding NO, at least concerning a hovering craft as described...
Jaime Maussan is promoting a new version they are calling the Baldías Sphere, allegedly found by the same David Velez and William Zuñiga.
They decided to leave off the engraved characters on this one (they are apparently calling it...

Surely there must be some windfarm nerds who have a reddit or forum or something, who could identify this quicker than jarlmai could identify a white-browed tit warbler? Heck, has it been thrown to the crazily-skilled geolocators yet?

I'm attaching a comprehensive list of wind farms, and a narrowed down version for currently operating or under-construction offshore installations, including GPS coordinates. The list specifies whether the installation is on fixed platforms...
