Long Description of Sighting Report
I WAS TRAVELING WEST TOWARDS SAN ANTONIO COMINGFROM HOUSTON TEXAS ON I-10 FREEWAY APPROACHING SEGUIN TEXAS CITY LIMITS WHEN I SAW A LARGE SHADOW BEING CAST OVER THE FREEWAY AS THE OBJECT CROSSED OVER MY SUV. I WAS ABLE TO SEE WHAT CAST THE SHADOW AS I LOOKED OUTSIDE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. IT WAS A CYLINDRICAL SHAPED OBJECT WITH 6 LEGS UNDERNEATH THAT HAD A SIMILAR LOOK LIKE THE NOW FAMOUS TIC TAC UFO. IT WAS TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED.

The video is a from a dashcam in a car being driven along the I-10 near Seguin Texas at 0:4s into the MUFON video a shadow passes over the freeway moving from right to left. The time/date from the camera are incorrect and the observer gives them as 7th May 2021 13:28 Central Time.

Although in one of the YT videos the observer gives his location as here

Initial google maps searching reveals that the location was more likely here based on matching terrain features to the video

This area is really close to Randolph AFB

Where T-38C Talon training jets fly from

FlightRadar24 shows multiple flights of these jets crossing the road at relatively low altitudes during the time period the video is shot.

The observers contention is that if it were a plane the wings would show up on the shadow, but angle of the plane and sun and small wings could contribute to the wings not being visible, otherwise the description of the object matches the profile of a jet.

can you post screen shots of those into the thread? they will disappear for most readers in like a week or so.

It takes 3 frames, or 0.1 seconds to go from the white line to the yellow, which at the angle the plane crossed, is about 40 feet:

400 feet per second is about 237 knots. The plane in FR24 is going 245 knots. So that matches perfectly with the limited resolution available.

Is it possible to match the shadow length to an expected shadow length based on the length of the jet?

Looks a few feet longer than the 40 feet measured earlier.

A T-38 is 46 feet long. So that roughly matches.

Yeah it seems it's the angle you are looking at the shadow from. Nice reference photo I was looking for something like that.

The shadow is flat on the road, and from a distance you the perspective make it look a lot thinner. But it's still a pretty reasonable match

I think the jet might also be at a slight angle to the road which would push more wing shadow into the fuselage shadow.

Just for fun I dragged the street view car south-east, towards the runway. There's a road running around the edge of the field, and this capture from May 2011 shows the unmistakeable shape of a T-38 flaring for landing:

If you move west along the road and switch to May 2011 you move back in time. entirely possible that if you go through all the combinations of dates along the roads in that area you could see a T-38 directly overhead, complete with shadow. It's landing on runway 13, e.g. it's heading south-east.
