Limestone: alleged piezo electric properties

So, (Tura) Limestone, according to New Agers, used in the Pyramids has piezoelectric properties, eh! True or false?

Surely someone could just test a chunk?

Also, the theory is more of a "and then ... magic" type of thing. Like using this supposed effect to levitate the blocks.

My view is that limestone is largely non-conductive and it lacks structured crystalline alignment which is probably needed to exhibit the piezoelectric effect.

It has been demonstrated experimentally that igneous and metamorphic rock can produce electric charge under extreme stress, however the same effect is not observed in sedimentary rock like limestone. The pyramids may have been made with a type of dry concrete anyways, no lifting or levitating of multi-ton blocks required.
