Helioviewer-Sphere near sun: moves towards sun unlike Coronal prominence cavity

Hi All, I have seen this on a couple of youtube videos (video1, video2) and verified myself on helioviewer.org. Done some searching if someone had already explained it. But I have not found anything. The closest explanation was the one attributed to the coronal prominence cavity just before a 'burst'. However this seems to move close to the sun and wait a few minutes. See the video here for more details. Ignore the guys explanation about some living entity. Appreciate if someone can come-up with a more plausible explanation.

I don’t think they’re actual structures near the sun. It’s more likely they’re imaging artifacts. The instrument appears to be the COronal Solar Magnetism Observatory (COSMO) at the Mauna Loa Solar Observatory. Thus it is not space based and could be something as simple as out-of-focus debris on the imager.

How about you give people more details. that video is super boring.
give the date as your pic is hard to see. and the time frames.

ive got 2020/04/08 23:27:08 the blob just begins to form and is further away



then by 2020/04/08 23:31:08 it "moves" closer to sun.. of course i got a double image here.


it stays ther until 2020/04/09 00:47:08 and disappears

Yeah, I'd suspect something like a reflection.

For this one:

Clearly there's stuff in the camera that is not actually related to the Sun (other than the sun being the probably source of light)

If I look at the design, found here: https://www2.hao.ucar.edu/mlso/instruments/mlso-kcor-coronagraph, I would say because it has refractive optics, it is likely a lens artefact (or ghost). If the obscuring disk gets slightly mis-aligned, a huge amount of sunlight enters the objective..
