With Sitrec, we can now use the Camera /"Fit Camera to Points" to nail down a camera location if there's sufficient perspective in the shot. This might be useful for some old cases like this.

I have made a start doing this in Sitrec, having erased a lot of the trees in Battery Park, but it's tricky as the Whitehall Building is largely hidden by scaffolding (?) on the 3D model. I also need to work out how to add the WTC towers - it seems less straightforward than just drawing a polygon as in Google Earth and then setting a height?

You can use Sitrec's "Add Building". Right click on the ground, then move the handles to line it up. Dragging just outside a corner witll rotate.

And with the point fitting, turn off "Lock Roll" and re-fit. Still too high, but better.
