AGENDA 21 - Sustainable Growth

2013-02-03

Ann Bresington, Independent Member of the Legislative Council of South Australia’s Exposes AGENDA 21.

In a prior post (https://www.metabunk.org/threads/36...overeignty-UN-Depopulation?highlight=AGENDA21 ) the Metabunk.org founder said that AGENDA 21 is real but it’s not the conspiracy theory that some make it out to be. AGENDA 21 is nothing more than a non-binding agreement to push for sustainable growth like efforts among the world’s nations. I disagree and finally we are seeing people speak out about Agenda 21 who are not easily labeled as conspiracy theorists by those who need to debunk Agenda 21 warnings; people like Ann Bressington of the South Australian Legislative Council.

In a presentation on February 3rd, 2013, which can be found on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sES6_OXPwOU Australian politician Ann Bressington speaks about Agenda 21 exposing what it is and how its being used to forcibly transform the world moving the wealth and resources from existing first world countries to developing nations and moving the power from the many to the elite few all in the name of protecting the planet thru “sustainable growth”. The problem with Sustainable Growth via Agenda 21 isn’t that the idea of sustainable growth is bad but that its being used as a cover for something far more devious.

Miss Bressington does an excellent job of breaking down Agenda 21 within less then half an hour so I won’t repeat everything here that is found in the video. What I will add to it are the examples that in previous post have bee said do not exists. In other words for those who have said “where’s the proof” here it is.

The source of this information is a 1 hour and 23 minute long presentation on Agenda 21 which can be found online at Youtube at : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GykzQWlXJs

#1) Betty Perry (Orem Utah): This woman was arrested in 2007 because her front lawn was dying. IN her area this is a criminal offense because of Sustainable Growth rules/regulations/codes.

#2) Julie Bass (Oak Park, MI): This lady was facing 90 days in jail because she was in violation of new codes implemented via “Sustainable Growth”. The violation was that she planted a garden in her own yard.

These are just 2 examples. There are others and if you look fro them you will find them. Now if your goal is to debunk Agenda 21 warnings then no level of proof is going to satisfy you because y9our goal isn’t to get to the truth but to debunk anything that puts Agenda 21 and or sustainable Growth in a bad light. The speaker at the bove 1 ½ hour Angeda 21 presentation does an excellent job of breaking down the Agenda 21 plan.

Just as the power to tax gives the government the power to detsroy wealth thru excessive taxation, regulastions and codes/code enforcement will empower the governement to trun everyone into virtual prisoners by disallowing free will through restrictions on what one can and can not do. No matter what the justification is for this it is still wrong to do ina nation of suposedly free people.

NO.

Beth Perry violated a city by-law when she let her lawn turn brown and die. In her area that is not a "criminal offense" but rather a violation of a city ordinance, like making too much noise or not picking up after your dog. I don't think it even qualifies as a misdemeanour. Anyway, Beth Perry got herself into trouble when she refused to identify herself to a police officer after the guy was trying to write her a ticket. That's when she got cuffed.

Clearly the cop mismanaged the situation and spokesmen for the police department admitted as much.

What are you talking about? These by-laws are written by city counsellors. City counsellors are VOTED IN BY THE PEOPLE. So if there is some kind of green lawn ordinance Orem Utah it's because the people of Orem Utah want some kind of green lawn ordinance in their city... no?

Are you really intending to conflate city ordinances for green lawns with sustainable growth initiatives?

Green lawns, BTW, are the antithesis of sustainable growth. A dreadful waste of water in a dry environment. Probably not too bad in Orem/Provo though, with the lake right there, but still - I doubt the framers of Agenda 21 would approve. This is simply (arguably) excessive local government regulation for cosmetic reasons, not sustainable reasons. You get far worse from Home Owners Associations.

Here in Los Angeles, the emphasis is more on getting rid of things like lawns that require daily sprinkler drenching, and replacing them with "native gardens" which can survive for months without rain. Yes, that's "sustainable", but it's a good idea. Los Angeles has a chronic water shortage, and there's really not that many places we can get water from. I would like Los Angeles to be more sustainable.

Indeed.

However, I doubt they are watering their lawns with water from the Great Salt Lake :)

Most of their water comes from Wasatch snowpack, the rest from springs and underground sources.

Orem is on the banks of Utah Lake, which is used for farm irrigation. :)

Still, even that is subject to water shortages. Water is quite the limiting factor for sustainability.

There have been several folks around the US to run into problems because they planted a garden in their front yard. They violated city ordinances that mandate LAWNS in the front yard. It seems the wording of most of those were designed to prevent folks from just allowing 'nature to take its own course' in their yard.

This type of ordinance is concerned with Property values, not any UN mandate. Similar ordinances will often dictate what color you can paint your house (no hot pink, or lime green), what kind of a roof you can have (you can't replace a wood roof with a shingled one), prevent you from fencing your front yard.

To try to blame these on some UN mandate is just plain silly

And to BCC's second example:

#2) Julie Bass (Oak Park, MI): This lady was facing 90 days in jail because she was in violation of new codes implemented via “Sustainable Growth”. The violation was that she planted a garden in her own yard.

Planting a garden in your front yard is exactly the type of thing that Agenda 21 wants you to do. So we've got two examples that are the opposite of agenda 21, and you are using them as examples of Agenda 21.

Here's the garden in question:

Here in Florida many home owners associations require that residents maintain St. Augusting Grass lawns. That stuff requires a couple of inches of water per week, a lot of fertilizer, and a lot of pesticides and fungicides. It is the bane of conservationists in a state where aquifer over-pumping and nutrient pollution of surface and ground-water are major concerns. But, if you live in a community where the green lawn is mandated, you get fined for practicing sustainability.

2 excellent examples of the tyranny of the majority - who have passed laws REQUIRING people to keep their property "pretty" as defined in local laws.

I think I would be hard pressed to find better examples of why adopting Agenda 21 guidelines at a local level is a good thing - thanks! :)

Want Los Angeles more susutainable ? secure the border with Mexico .

Well I have a few things to say. Agenda 21 lets get to the bottom of it all. if this is so harmless why not take a vote on this. NO the president couldn't do that because it would not have passed. let's do some home work. ICLEI / HAARP / Agenda 21. oh and one other cloud seeding AKA chemtrails. theres one name at the center of every one of these programs. takes a little time but the truth is out there. George soros. the puppet master of the president and a lot of the top brass.
