Cross in the sky

I've seen several recounts of this story in the last few days. It's interesting to note the quote claiming that the cross "had formed in a completely blue sky" when it is clear from the pic that there was a lot of other cirrus present and/or forming. Exaggeration to make the event more remarkable.

Actors and crew members working on “A.D.,” the follow-up to Mark Burnett’s and Roma Downey’s “The Bible” miniseries, were in for a major surprise last week while filming in Morocco.

Downey told TheBlaze that her team was working on a scene depicting Peter and John in front of the Sanhedrin — an event that can be found in Acts 4 in the Bible — when actors Adam Levy (who plays Peter) and Babou Ceesay (who plays John) noticed something curious directly overhead in the sky.

“There they could see clouds had formed in a completely blue sky in the perfect shape of a cross,” Downey said. “Everyone was stunned and filming stopped, as iPhones came out and everyone was snapping pictures.”

Its a Snow Dragon. Looks like a large female.

But what is one doing that far south? There is a small breeding population in the Alps and Pyrenees, but that is at the very southern limit of their range in the Eastern hemisphere. Could be a sign of climate change marking their return to the Atlas Mountains, where they haven't breed for over 730 years. However I suspect this is an elderly female, that is no longer fertile, so has been driven out by the colony and it therefore on the legendary 'Death Flight', when the snow dragon, knowing that death is close flys south and slowly dissolves in the sun and thus becoming one with the sky that gave it birth.

.... or it could be intersecting contrails.... ;)

Perfect cross?

I've noticed a tendency for proponents of fringe theories to use language like "perfect" "parallel" "precise" "exact" etc. to describe things are clearly are no such thing.

Indeed.

Or maybe "perfect pterodactyl" is just too hard to spell... o_O

Yeah, I noticed that too. That makes two obvious exaggerations (falsehoods?) in the story. But Roma Downey is sooo pretty.... I WANT to believe her!

Nananananananananananananananana-BATMAN!!!!!! It was the Batsign, on the wispy cloud available...

I often wondered how they got hold of Brice Wayne during the day, or on cloudless nights....?

For those who might be confused: Brice is Bruce Wayne's hoodoo, ko͞olē cousin, from southern Utah... ;)

I'm thinking Gotham City was smoggy.
A California superhero would have to think of a way of being alerted.... If only someone could invent a telephonic device, with a unique number specific to that device so that he may be contacted from afar......

Did the same thing not happen when they pulled a roughly cross shaped piece of debris from the WTC?

Then of course, one lady from the world of 'Goddidit' on the internet told me that this was a sign from god.... She then used science as an argument, promptly followed by dismissing science as an argument.....
