As a child I was playing outside after dark, and ran inside scared of the "words moving in the sky", as the scrolling text was the only part of the advertising blimp that showed up in the dark. It took a very short time for an adult to convince...

At that age we were blowing up mailboxes with fireworks brought home from "South of the Border" South Carolina, on return trips from Florida to New Jersey. I don't remember how many "M-80s" it took, but we figured it out and the neighborhood...
