Occasionally one catches my eye, but mostly I'm not aware of them being there. Never thought of having one myself, but I can understand why others might. I didn't know there was an option to turn display of them off, which I've now enabled, just...

Everyone already has this choice as part of their settings, so I don't think there's a huge need to have it enforced as policy. As a disabler, my "no" vote definitely wasn't pro-sigs, merely pro-choice.

Yeah, well, I think this is quite telling. Also, here's a direct quote from a text written by Villarroel in 2024: ”To break this cycle, we need to focus on clear hypotheses for what we believe we are studying, no matter how crazy or stigmatized...

Villarroel recently posted this in a Swedish Facebook group, commenting on a post in which someone suggested that the UFO community follow Mick West and Metabunk for a more nuanced approach. Translated to English: "The scientific method is not...

I tend to agree with you here @FatPhil that this is a good thing, but I dont think it contradicts what she does in her papers. In the paper Aligned, multiple-transient events in the First Palomar Sky Survey (Villarroel et al 2025) she does...

I don't think she's saying that, I think she's saying the Right Thing (TM). I think she's saying that we shouldn't consider the meaningless catch-all terms that describe things in the LIZ as in any way meaningful, and that we should try to...

Good arguments, but you'd have to know you can hide the signatures once you sign up. And signing up to every site you read is tiresome. I don't think either choice is really better than the other, it's ultimately a design decision and Mick...

It can now! Under Video/Long Exposure When you nudge, only the brightest things get visible trails. Although it's JUST visible on some stars.

That seems to show consideration to non-members, but effectively turns the poll into "should we impose our preferences on non-members?": Status quo: they have option to sign up, sign in, and have their personal preferences used. Turn them off...

With the note that, before cameras were so ubiquitous, when it was not to be expected that a Very Close Encounter UFO report might have pictures, there were reports of UFOs getting very close. Sometimes even disgorging occupants to outer about...

We agree! It's not of extraterrestrial origin. You know it , I know it , everybody knows it. My point is you cant explain Mellons (former top civilian black projects tsar) or Justices (former LM special Projects head honcho) claims it was on the...
