https://www.dr.dk/drtv/se/droner-over-danmark_596478 I think you can only see it in Denmark and with a login, but there are nothing new for people like us. I hope the general public starts questioning though.

True, but it's about relativity. White sand has high albedo. On IR sand would show up as cooler than surroundings. If you think white sand gets hot try walking in the black volcanic sand. I could be wrong on my beach theory, the logic is sound...

Apparently you've never been to the beach on a sunny day. Quartz sand, such as is found all over the Middle Eastern countries, gets blazing hot underfoot and can easily burn your feet. Gypsum sand, such as White Sands, New Mexico, is also hot at...

Daytime makes the use of illumination flares less likely. But flares are used as IR decoys by military aircraft and naval vessels as and when the need arises. Signal/ distress flares, sometimes deploying a parachute, can be used during daylight...

Status update on Vasco60 work: I've spent some time building a controlled "surgical" test harness to compare individual MNRAS candidate coordinates against SExtractor/PSFEx outputs on the same tile centres, including parity logic such as the...

What is your evidence that these two images were captured from the same platform? Different platforms won't match, as artefacts like diffraction spikes and lens flares are intimately related to the geometry of the optics.

A parachuting flare is a proposed hypothesis that fits the visuals at first glance; however, it may be a good example of dynamic pareidolia, instead of "nonsense", or a reason for embarrassment. Other hypotheses are that the "parachute" might...
