I don't know about abduction experiences, but I read somewhere that UFO reports generally have been in decline. This Wall Street Times article, "Diving into the Scarcity of UFO Sightings in Recent Years", 25 August 2023, seems to support this...

Squirrels are the major consumers of my "bird" food, and will climb the screen door to berate me when the tray is empty. But my suburban back yard in Ohio has little red squirrels, medium-sized grey squirrels (both grey and black phases), and big...

Someone recently sent me a video that they claimed was shot by an abductee inside a flying saucer, encountering beings in black diving suits. It was literally just like when your phone accidentally records while in your bag / pocket.

This satellite is ETS 6, a now-defunct JAXA satellite that failed to reach GEO orbit but went on to have some success as a science satellite. It is a well-known flasher dating back to 2001 and maybe eariler. Here's the TLE for you

Abductions etc have already been done to death; they are now the stuff of parody. UFO / UAP sightings have been reduced to "orbs" or single-pixel three-frame glimpses in (of course) the LIZ. I wonder what the next fashion cycle will bring.

...is almost as fanciful a suggestion as an alien, but (like aliens) what you would "like to think" is immaterial. Where is the evidence for this unknown "resident evil"? Until that's produced, the most probable solution remains the things that...

There's an "uncanny valley" effect where the grays are perceived as human-like, but not quite. The horror aspect certainly adds to their staying power in pop culture/social media. The yellow "minions" gave them a run for the money in terms of...

If A is the silhouette of mountains against the sky, what is B? Alternative: We are looking at clouds backlit by the Moon. The lighter regions are thinner clouds, the darker regions are thicker clouds. A and B are thicker clouds.

ATFLIR works with IR wavelenghts of 3 to 5 microns. That's a window of transmission in the atmosphere, meaning that absorption/scatter are minimized. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrared_window

An IR camera has no set range in exactly the same way that normal cameras don't. They're both sensing light, just at different wavelengths. There is no magic that steps in to limit the range of a FLIR system.
