Netherlands UFO [Rokkaku Kite]

This topic came up for discussion in another forum I'm a member. Some guy in Holland filmed a "lens shaped" blue UFO from his home in the Netherlands. The video is in Dutch so I can't translate it but a YouTube commenter offers a translation :

He was filming a boat and observed an object coming in the picture it was there for 15 min and made fast movements up down left right he showed it to a neighbour but thinks its a ufo and there is ET out there we are just a small planet.. no other reports of people seeing it or filming it till now according to the report.

I'll say that the jerky motions seen in the video are clearly caused by not having a perfectly steady hand holding the camera exaggerated by the level of zoom and not because the UFO is actually making sudden fast movements in the sky.

Anyone have an idea of what the object might actually be? Someone has suggested it's possibly a kite.

Kite seems like a very reasonable explanation:

I don't see it moving at all in the video. But kites can move.

Its a shame he's zoomed in so you can't see how it moves about in the sky.

I think the picture I've linked above was taken not too far from where the OP video was filmed, Maassluis:

Note the strip of land between the river and the canal appears to be a park. Looks like a delightful place to go fly a kite.

Interesting. Kite does sound like a perfectly reasonable explanation.

This guy does kite aerial photography in that location:

KAP uses large kites that are pretty stable, and hence could account for something like this. The linked page is a few years old, but obviously it's a good KAP location.

Its a KAP photo of the Thialf taken in Rotterdam April 2014. Could be the view from our kite?

I think its a rokkaku in profile rather than a delta. Better lifting power and stability for KAP and bears more than a passing resemblance to the UFO from the right angle. The screen shot attached is taken from this footage of a rokkaku battle.

Last Friday an alert resident of Maassluis spotted an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) above the port of Rotterdam. The object was visible in the sky for fifteen minutes Botlek and then suddenly disappeared in the clouds (source: RTV Rijnmond). The post you're responding to is from April. It is reasonable to expect it to be broken if it is bunk.
