A former NASA engineer has made sensational claims that humans are not only reverse-engineering alien technology, but that trillions of invisible extraterrestrial devices may already be hidden across the planet.

Richard Banduric, CEO of Field Propulsion Technologies and a former propulsion engineer for NASA and Lockheed Martin, shared the shocking allegations during a December 2024 episode of the Ecosystemic Futures podcast, which has recently resurfaced on social media platform X.

Things asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Did he present any evidence? It sounds like a bunch of cool stories.

There's a summary of his discussion here:

  • Hal Puthoff chimes in here to piggyback off of what Richard says, and says, "Yeah, we found that they were layered alloys at the micron level...and none of our technologists - even in the big aerospace corporations - could make these layers bond together. So, just by their physical construction, we could tell it was way beyond anything that could have been manufactured in our ordinary technology here on earth."
  • Richard then asks Hal directly - and very nonchalantly, "Yeah, that's what I saw, too..." He then asks Puthoff, "...you were looking at the outside of a craft, or materials that came from a crashed spacecraft or something?"
  • Puthoff replies: "Yes."
  • Richard: "Yeah, so were looking at very little things that seemed to deposit all over the world. What we were investigating - there were probably trillions of these things that are deposited, and they have all sorts of functions. Which really kind of implies that maybe this group is actually manipulating our species..."
  • Puthoff: noise of acknowledgement
  • Richard: "You can still acquire those...if you know where to look for them you can find them - we know how to find them."
  • Puthoff: "Well if you find a hat-full, why don't you send them our way and we'll take a look at them!"
  • Richard: chuckles... "Yeah, that's it...so the group I used to work with I don't talk with any more because they got upset at me for talking, so... but...I have an idea where someone can get them."
  • The host confirms to Richard that these objects are ubiquitous and that another individual in the call is giving info on where to source this material. The host re-iterates: "There's a variety of sources where to get these..."
  • Richard replies, "Yeah...yeah...we were assuming that they're everywhere right? Even - the ones that would work we would never be able to find because they would cloak themselves or reconfigure themselves to be something, but...not all of them are functional, right?"
It seems like the usual "analysis" of random bits of material. Banduric makes some claims, which he can't back up, seemingly because he had a falling-out with some people.

This a making waves because of the people involve, supposedly some quasi-official link to NASA. Banduric's connection seems to be that he used to be a computer programmer who worked on embedding systems for things like hard drives.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/richard-banduric-53232667/details/experience/
He then went to to work on propellantless spacecraft propulsion - a technology for which there seems to be a lot of hype, but no working demonstration.

Overall: cool story, no evidence.

A new one to me. Seems like he's been dabbling in the margins of aerospace research for a few years: in particular, he's sucking on the govt. teat, so .gov does have some info on him and his exploits:

The key innovation behind the proposed solution is a new class of specially engineered metamaterial, based on a special graphene composite, that utilizes the unresolved longitudinal forces or Ampere Tension Forces in conductors to produce thrust. Technical proof-of-concept has been reached by building a lab prototype that produced external forces as large as a few millinewtons, using currents in the range of a few milliamperes.

I've not encountered Ampere Tension Forces before, so I'll bow out of making any scientific judgements, but I have to express some distaste at the phrase "almost infinite energy storage capacity."

His company's registered address, listed as the primary place the research will take place in the awards, just seems to be a residential building.

The main thing that keeps me interested is this claim from the 2nd grant above: "Technical proof-of-concept has been reached by building a lab prototype".

Let's see an independent evaluation of that, then. The grant should never have been awarded, IMHO, unless that part had been independently verified.[/ex]

Others covered it well above but w/r/t Banduric intersection here, he is yet another person part of the expansive social network that Puthoff and co have been the core of for decades. Most of these individuals never end up becoming public personalities so we never hear about them. Then in like 9/10 cases someone surfaces as a new personality, despite them near always having intensive personal connections and interactions, they always interact like they barely know each other or have only met in passing.

Doing a WHOIS lookup (https://who.is/whois/fieldpropulsiontechnology.com) on fieldpropulsiontechnology.com comes up with it being registered by a Richard Banduric, of Aurora, Colorado.

Searching for that name and "Aurora Colorado" comes up with various links to a Richard B Banduric of that city. These mainly relate to property ownership, plus an empty Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/richard.banduric.5/), with the only details being that they are in Aurora, Colorado. were originally from Brockport, New York and went to school at Brockport High School.

According to datausa.io it had a population of 390,000 in 2023, so quite conceivable that there are/were more than one Richard Banduric's living there, but possibly they are the same person.

According to brockporthighschool.org/alumni-list-b.html, there was a Richard Banduric there (class of 1977).

On Linkedin (linkedin.com/in/richard-banduric-53232667/) there is an entry for Richard Banduric, as CTO (and later, in addition CEO) of Field Propulsion Technologies Inc. with a variety of information, including education and work history (Experience). This starts with attending Ohio State University in 1978, then Rochester Institue of Technology in 1982.

The Experience section, describes them as as a software developer, with stints at Intel, United Launch Alliance, then NASA JPL at Caltech, as "Flight Software Developer for the Clipper Mission".

LinkedIn shows him as CTO of Field Propulsion Technologies Inc. from 2014 to present, so his interest in propellentless propulsion systems, may not be a new thing. The LinkedIn page also includes some images of document scans, in relation to a patent application for a propellentless propulsion systems.

The image used on the main Field Propulsion Technologies website seemed familar, and seems to be one of a series of fairly well known hoax UFO, CG images. There's a writeup about them here (theironskeptic.com/articles/issac/issac.htm) and would seem like a poor choice of image, for anyone attempting to project any real degree of seriousness regarding their proposed propulsion system.

I have found an article on researchgate which describes an "Ampere force space thruster", it's really a pity it violates conservation of momentum.

I just noticed that one of the co-hosts for this podcast episode is Anna Brady-Estevez, who was also featured alongside Mike Gold in the recent unofficial panel event with a few members of Congress and a handful of former government employees with extraordinary but so far evidence-free claims about extraterrestrials, led by Luis Elizondo and organized by the UAP Disclosure Fund.

This got me interested in what exactly this podcast is, so I went through and read the description to all 99 episodes of the show and pulled out every episode relating to UFOs, theoretical energy/propulsion systems, and futuristic space travel, and a list of recognizable names for each of those. 8 of the 99 met this. Anna Brady-Estevez is on all 8 of them, and from my searching she was not on any other of the show's episodes. Larry Forsley is on 6 of these 8 as well.

The other episodes seem at a glance to mostly be more "boring" topics like project management, developing innovative business environments, developments in the AI industry, decarbonization and futurizing the energy supply, startup and R&D economics, and how policymakers have to adapt to changing technology. Then sprinkled in there's ones from people who think the Earth is being actively visited by extraterrestrials and are lobbying Congress to try to convince them of this.

There are no episodes I found about UFOs before episode 56. In episode 56 they had Brady-Estevez on for the first time, and then they started having a bunch more episodes with her and other guests who are focused on UFOs.

A bit of Davis, a bit of Pais, alot of Puthoff and a smidgen of Steve Justice .

Attempting to add any meaningful anlysis of content is pointless as there's this "secret tech" that (always) facilitates such extraordinary claims.

Anna is a funny personality outside this subject itself, she's a great example of how quasi-governmental bodies like NSF are actually really issued. She's in with the crew of course. During her time at NSF, go figure, she proposed quite a lot of funds going towards companies ran by none other than the crew themselves. Good thing to keep in mind with broader discourse ala things like NSF being closed - dumb in itself but people generally discredit the issues referenced. This is a perfect example of corruption at NSF, and I think we'd all agree it's issued she was leveraging her position to recommend her UFO crew friends get government funding to hunt for aliens and dinobeavers.

With a special reference to Banduric - his company was bankrolled for their contracts by Anna.

In fact, quite a lot of the attendant companies listed in that event, have their contracts bankrolled through the NSF by Anna. Welcome to the end of the network that doesn't exploit military contracting but rather science funding, Anna is the central node :)
