Debunked: Peter M Slattery

Peter M Slattery of the Australian Jaya Sanctuary is a common poster on X of various "orbs and angels" videos, which, on analysis, turn out to be satellites. In Peter's case, his videos are often also imbued with religious connotations.

For the most part, these posts are easily dismissed. However, today he posted a new video in which he sought to preemptively avert attempts at debunking by showing cell phone satellite-tracking app displays that showed it was neither the ISS nor the CSS. Unfortunately for Mr Slattery, he seems to have forgotten, or didn't know, that the Moon occupies certain positions on certain days, and, as will be shown, it's clear that his screenshot of the ISS on his tracker app was taken three days (the 4th December 2025) before he filmed his video (7th December), revealing the deception.

Here is the link to the X post (I will attach the video in case the post is later deleted).

Here is his screengrab of the tracker app he uses to show it's not the ISS, but notice the Moon's position to the right. Notice the time and date appear to have been cropped off the top.

Here's a screenshot from Stellarium that matches his tracker App on the 4th December 2025.

His video states it was taken on the 7th. The screengrab for the CSS shows the time he claimed the video was made (but not the date), 10:23:41 UTC, and we can clearly see his video orb was in fact the ISS sailing across the sky.

My prompt for writing this post: Was the ISS Tracker App screenshot a premeditated attempt to divert attention from the inevitable debunk post? Remember, I'm only asking questions ;)

And again, for the record, in case he deletes, here's the screencap of the post showing the claimed date of 7th December 2025, which did in fact have the ISS over at the time his CSS tracker displayed.
