Can someone please tell me what the heck this "Adrenochrome" story is all about, who came up with it, is there ANY truth in it, and how to convince someone that it's all BS (if it is!!). THANK YOU :)

Article:
Where have I heard of adrenochrome?

Aldous Huxley’s 1954 essay “The Doors of Perception”, written mostly about his experiences with mescaline, discusses the possibility that adrenochrome is a compound with similar effects to the psychedelic cactus. He has not taken it, and doesn’t know how one would obtain it, saying just that it’s spontaneously produced by the human body. He describes it as “a product of the decomposition of adrenaline”, which is, surprisingly, correct.

There’s a brief mention of “drencrom” in the 1962 novel A Clockwork Orange, where it’s an optional addition to the cocktail (glass of milk) Moloko Plus, but probably the most cited use of the compound is in Hunter S Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It might be a novel, but many assumed it was a real thing that people really did.

It’s important for anyone reading Fear and Loathing to remember that Gonzo journalism, the writing style Thompson invented, is based around fictionalisation and exaggeration of real-life events. In the DVD commentary on the 1998 Fear and Loathing adaptation, director Terry Gilliam said Thompson told him he made the whole adrenochrome thing up.

The Spinoff article is really good and has a lot more background on what has subsequently been called adrenochrome and what it really is: "Its main medical use is to slow blood loss by promoting clotting in open wounds" -- "not very exciting".

That hasn't stopped QAnon to make it into a conspiracy theory that involves harvesting scared children for this compound:

The role of adrenochrome in recent events is harder to fathom. Ms Crokin modishly suggests that pro-Trump patriots have ‘tainted the adrenochrome supply with the coronavirus’. Tommy G, the QAnon-supporting, Twitter blue-tick- sporting host of the No Mercy Podcast, posits that drug-crazed celebrities are ‘running out’ of adrenochrome. A depleted adrenochrome stash, Mr G suspects, might explain why Madonna has been making weird videos about roses and fried fish. The diminishing number of rational observers, I think, assume it is because Madonna is an attention-starved eccentric with no taste.

QAnoners are also big fans of comparing flattering and unflattering photos of celebrities. This is supposed to illustrate the devastating effects of adrenochrome withdrawal, but instead it illustrates the aging process and the possibility that people look different without make-up and an expensive hairdo.

that makes no sense. if they are torturing children, you would lace the adrenochrome with cyanide not covid.
plus, would pro-Trump patriots even know how to taint adrenochrome with coronavirus? can you just sneeze on it?

The recent stories about 2,100 children being kept in underground cages as a source for adrenochriome for Hollywood celebrities originated with Timothy Charles Holmseth. Holmseth is a self-published author who writes on pedophile themes. In a web page posted in April, he wrote 'On October 14, 2019 the Pentagon Pedophile Task Force reported 2,100 children were rescued by U.S. Marines from underground bases in California."

There is no such organization as the "Pentagon Pedophile Task Force".

The page you link does not seem to mention adrenochrome. It's also from 2020. Where are the original stories that predate this? Please link and quote.
